Hacker caused DC penalty to our lobby
A nurse killed all 4 of us before the intro to the game even finished and afterwards I got a penalty timer as if I DCd.

Yes, I've seen the vids on reddit. Cheating AI Nurse instantly killing everybody and they're having a dc penalty afterwards.
I'm not going to lie, this seems to me like an emergency level of issue that needs to be addressed like… Right now.
It can really hurt the survivor players if this will happen multiple times per day. Their DC penalty will be massive.

It's nothing new though? Bot killers hooking everybody at the speed of light has been a thing for years. All we can hope is that they fix that as fast as possible until hackers found another way and BHVR fix it again and so on.

I think it's because the game is treating you as if you were AFK
There's some kind of built in anti-AFK system that gives penalties if you do literally nothing in a match or something like that. It was made to punish people who' do stuff like AFK wraith

This sort of hack is old, it's been around for awhile but never had a DC penalty attached. Wonder if the devs recently implemented a penalty for those who die too early/let go on hook, and now everyone's feeling it thanks to hackers.

It's just regular players will never see it because it only goes off if you quite literally do nothing. I'm not 100% sure what the conditions are but it's def possible survs are being killed so fast by the cheater that the game thinks they did nothing in the game therefore they were afk the whole time
It might actually be the cheater's reason for doing what they are doing, just to grief.

Yeah I knew they'd implemented it for AFK killers awhile ago, but wasn't sure about survivors. It's just interesting that it's only probably over the last week I've seen people talking about getting a DC penalty when this hack is in play. Prior to that it doesn't seem like people suffered anything beyond an early end to their game against these hackers.

Yes it happened to me a few times over the years but this is the first time I was penalized for getting killed too fast.
By the way since you're all here, have you people experienced worse ping the last few patches? My ping used to be "good", from 65 to 75 but lately it's been 80 at best and goes up to 100 even though my connection is just as fast as before according to speedtest.0 -
