The event and stuttering

Am I the only one who rubberbands across the map during this event? Genuinely unplayable

The servers have been a bit janky in general, though I have not had any big issues during this event.

However during the 2v8 event I think player numbers were so high the servers were not able to cope, so I did have a lot of rubber-banding and weirdly my entire lobby got put into 200ms games a few times, when my usual ping is ~15 - 20ms

It's happened to me a couple times, but it's not been consistent, thankfully.

I've found it's worse in the first game I play after booting up the game, then smooths out again.

You know, strangely enough it's not even lag, it's actually just stuttering. I was playing Singularity and a whole lot of wacky stuff happened the moment I tried to teleport.

Okay so I was watching a streamer and he was at the preschool in main and he exited the building then him and Myers were both instantly teleported back into the lower building lol. Hens was also saying people are getting higher ping in the event mode only… but I have not had this either.

So yeah, I am going to guess there are server issues going on and I have just been lucky.

Servers have been volatile for months now, with the modifier and event modes struggling particularly. Generally higher and fluctuating pings, frequent rubberbanding, occasional freezes, rare but noticeably more common server crashes.

What's causing it is anyone's guess, BHVR is not transparent at all when it comes to things like this and never even addresses anything of the sort. It could be them squeezing as many matches as they possibly can to be hosted per server, and the servers not handling that load well or at least not consistently well. With the separate queues for modifiers and events, it could be plausible that BHVR simply increased the "matches hosted per server" amount to accomodate them. It could also be that lacking performance and netcode optimization is the culprit, as that will become increasingly troublesome with the modifiers and events having added gameplay interactions and such. It's also possible that BHVR has reduced the amount of servers they want to pay for from Amazon, or opted for a cheaper plan with decreased performance/tickrate.

But it is mostly happening whenever there's a modifier or event going on, so that's sure to have to do with it.

It's nice to know that this is happening to multiple people since the event. I'm experiencing the same thing. People literary stopping and then insta zooming through windows, singu tps being super wonky, Dracula transformations being wonky. Already thought my game was giving out
