I don't understand the nerf logic at all

We have killers like Blight and Nurse out here with crazy power level and they decide to nerf mediocore killers at the best.

I am Chucky main and since his last nerfs he feels awful to play as. I never understand why he got the last nerfs.

His kill-rate was crazy? No.

Did his power felt unfair to play against? No.

Was his power hard to counter? No.

His turn-rate was already awful before nerfs and now he is also slower which makes him even worse to play as. I guess Chucky was stronger than Nurse and Blight. Devs knows better for sure.

To play devil's advocate - a lot of people did consider Chucky unfair/hard to counter since he's an extremely short killer with a dash power that let him move really fast, making it hard to react to.

I'm not saying the nerf was deserved but that's the logic behind slowing him down, so survivors have more of a window to react to him. This is the same reason why some of Blight's speed addons were unfair before they got changed - he could move so fast that survivors had barely any wiggle room to react

I do hope they buff him up again though since his current state doesn't seem that fun to play

I completely agree that the Chucky nerfs are a meanspirited abomination, both because they weren't needed and because the devs deliberately didn't put it on the PTB.

Nurse got nerfed, Blight got really nerfed. These are just killers that have a kit which, in the hands of a very good killer player, can be overpowered.

    Also: Skull Merchant.

The problem is his turn-rate is so limited. So if survivor turn right or left after jump windows or pallet, Chucky most likely will miss. They either need to buff this turn-rate or revert the nerfs.

I can understand nerfing dash speed so survivors have easy time, but why the hell they nerfed cooldown again? They should have reduce it instead.

He is 110% killer, it's not good to be stuck without a power for a long time…. It's easier to miss/dodge and you are more punished by it now.

I've always said the problem with Chucky is rat poison. He doesn't need aura reading just for using his power.

I’ve seen plenty of Chuckys literally 180 and land hits that shouldn’t have.

I thought they changed that turn rate because flicking with Chucky wasn't possible with a controller?

Well you got me, by all accounts it just doesn't make sense. I didn't even think Chucky at launch was problematic, cause to deal with him, you just needed to focus on Pallet stunning him instead of pre-dropping Pallets due to his old Scamper. Even if his old Scamper was OP, just end Hidey-Ho Mode after using Scamper so he couldn't use it infinitely at God Pallets. I liked the old Scamper cause it made Chucky play so unique and felt like a breathe if fresh air from the other Killers. I do like that after they nerfed Scamper they made Slice and Dice have a drastically low cool-down so he can use his power more often, which seemed more powerful than his old Scamper. But now with both a nerfed Scamper and Slice and Dice, being a 110% movement speed Killer with a 32 meter Terror Radius, he is doo doo garbage. He basically has nothing now. He doesn't have a unique playstyle anymore, and now they made him garbage. At least with Vecna they only were nerfing one part of his kit, Mage Hand, which is 1/4 of his power. But nerfing Chucky's Scamper was nerfing 1/2 of his power, and now that they nerfed Slice and Dice they nerfed his entire power with no compensation. I'll just play other Killers instead of playing Killers like Chucky or Skull Merchant who at the moment aren't even fun to play. I'll just play Shape and Blight I guess until then. I loved playing Chucky, but man, they massacred my Good Guy...

I would disagree the devs nerfed out of being “Mean Spirited” however the extra nerf I believe wasn’t not needed at all. Skull merchant didn’t need the butcher she got I think we all agree on that.

Blight and Nurse - I question those killers power level for sure especially when less powerful killers are nerfed before them.

so you can be m1 killer for longer.

they nerf killers before blight and nurse because ultra casual players cannot play Nurse or Blight. if you ever watched bad blight, the blight will miss like 60% his rushes and it is same for nurse. the nurse will blink in random places that don't make any sense.

Chucky is perceived as lower skill-floor so a bad chucky still does well. a lot of the reason is that bad survivor don't understand check spot and often rely on visual killer information. Chucky is short which blocks visual information and he's stealth killer which new players get destroyed by.

Funny is Blight had higher kill rates than Chucky, so I see a flaw in that logic.

Either is Chucky way worse than people claim, or way harder than people claim.
