Loading Screen - Facing the XXX (Killer)
When you load into a new match you will always see some game tip messages on the loading screen.
If you haven't played against a particular killer 5 times or so, you will also get a message about which killer you are playing against and a tip for this killer:
for example:
Now I saw someone who is streaming live on Twitch and even though this person has played against the same killer more than 5 times, the loading screen always shows that it is this killer.
Since I know that DBD is very tolerant when it comes to various settings and 3rd party software (Reshade, Sound improving software), the question is now: Is it ok to make the cfg or other settings in order to get such an advantage?
I know this is a very sensitive topic and is well censored here by various mods. Cheat protection etc. doesn't have a really high priority in this game otherwise there would already be at least basic server validation.
What do YOU think about it?
Is it ok to be constantly shown in the loading screen which killer you are playing against and would you also use this advantage? If not, should something be done about it?

You are talking about two different things. Seeing the killer tip would imply direct manipulation of the game files.
Just report them an let bhvr sort them out.

I think the EAC certainly covers such in-game file manipulation if it exists. So if they have been playing like this for ages it will probably be allowed. and I think that it's not just this streamer and his swf buddies who use it.0 -
It could be a setting in the ini like when people used to change vsync and fps cap manually.

I think it has to do with escaping against that killer, but idk

The ini file only affects the engine settings exposed by the Devs. It does not affect the game in this way.
