Junji Ito Collection Region Locked?!
So a lot of players including myself are wondering what is happening regarding the long awaited Junji Ito collection since it doesn't appear in the shop for some of us. If there was any official statement from BHVR regarding this bug it would be great, been waiting a long time to get these nice skins, as a Junji ito fan

So far there are like 7 countries that seem to be region locked.

What makes me think it might not be linked to region lock is that we still have the red "!" notice in the shop for each characters that are getting the skins. Almost like it is not working properly and is a bug somehow. What I can see so far is that it is not a local problem of corrupted files or update, since even after reinstalling the game it is the same presentation in the shop.

Lol when was this answered? Still radio silence from BHVR on this.

I guess, Junji Ito might be banned in these countries (Animes are often censored or banned completely in other countries) and therefore players cannot buy these skins because there is no permission to release them in these countries.
However, this is no excuse for the developers to not tell the players that they don't have access to the skins due to license or permission issues.

I have no idea it wasn't from me

BHVR not being bothered getting permission to sell Junji's art in some countries is bad enough (if that's the case) but staying silent in the matter is even worse.

The devs have nothing to do with the region lock. It's Junji Ito responsible for the locks.
Developers only responsible for the lack of communication in regards of the region lock. They should've inform players about "banned" countries the moment they introduced the skins in the dev's stream.

Which countries?

They're probably consulting Legal before making a statement

This is most likely the case, even tho I am not sure if it is related to Anime. I would rather guess that Body Horror is banned in some countries and the work of Junji Ito falls under this.
And the reason why we did not get more gory Moris for some time was because it might lead to restricting the game in some countries. Therefore, my assumption would be that the Devs had the opportunity to bring Junji Ito to DBD with the cost of not being able to promote and sell the Collection in some countries.
But I do agree that this should have been announced, ideally from the time they announced the collection, because I am very sure they were aware about that at this point. (If my assumption is correct)

Junji's artwork is not restricted in my country, why would it be restricted in the game?

Because Junji decided so. He's the license holder, not Behavior.
