Chapter Title: Flush of Fear
Killer Name: The Pervert
Survivor Name: Zara Gomez

Map: The Old Rest Stop

The map is a rundown rest area at the edge of a forgotten highway. It features large public bathrooms, a maintenance shed, and a sewer system that runs beneath the area. The bathrooms are cramped and littered with broken mirrors, old stalls, and flooded floors that can block movement or temporarily disable interactions. The survivors are constantly being forced to face their vulnerabilities as they try to survive.

Key Features:

  • Toilets: Instead of repairing generators, survivors must “sit” on toilets and perform a skill check to maintain a toilet's function or flush away the waste (acting as the new objective). Failing the skill check generates a loud noise notification and a burst of fear, but completing it rewards the survivor with progression on the objective.
  • Overflowing Toilets: The map contains multiple toilets that can overflow when triggered by the Pervert. Overflows can disorient survivors, block paths, or force them to take a detour.
  • Sewer Pipe Exit Gates: The exit gates are two giant, rusted sewer pipes that survivors must escape through. However, these exits are clogged with debris and require survivors to take extra time to clear them. The Pervert can temporarily block these exits, making escapes even more tense.

Killer: The Pervert

Lore:
The Pervert was once a janitor working in the underbelly of a sprawling, run-down public facility, obsessed with cleanliness, order, and watching. He grew obsessed with the vulnerability people had when using restrooms, believing that they exposed their “true selves” when alone and unguarded. His fixation on watching turned into a deadly addiction, leading him to stalk bathroom stalls, peeping from vents, and lurking behind mirrors. Over time, his obsession deepened into something sinister. He began sabotaging the plumbing, causing floods, and trapping people in these spaces, reveling in their helplessness. His once mundane job transformed him into a twisted voyeur and predator, lurking just out of sight, always watching, always waiting for the right moment to strike.

The Entity claimed him, allowing him to continue his dark work in a new world, feeding off the terror he causes while watching helpless survivors in their most vulnerable moments.

Power: "Watchful Presence"
The Pervert's primary ability revolves around the use of mirrors, toilets, and reflective surfaces. He can manipulate these surfaces to observe survivors and disorient them, draining their composure and forcing them into a state of fear.

  • Mirrors: The Pervert can place large mirrors in certain rooms or bathrooms around the map. Survivors who are within a close radius of the mirrors will have their auras revealed. The Pervert can also activate "Mirror Vision," where he briefly gains the ability to see survivors through these mirrors, giving him a limited "true sight" advantage in certain areas.
  • Unsettling Presence (Active Ability):
    When survivors interact with toilets, they must engage in skill checks, but these skill checks will be especially tense. The Pervert can use his power to distort these skill checks by triggering a “fear mechanic” when survivors sit on the toilet. The longer a survivor stays on the toilet (more attempts at skill checks), the more they risk failing and generating loud noises that could attract the Pervert.
  • Flushing Terror (Active Ability):
    The Pervert can activate the "Flushing Terror" ability, causing certain toilets on the map to randomly overflow. When a toilet overflows, it generates a loud noise notification and briefly disorients all survivors within a nearby radius, affecting their skill checks for a short duration. This increases the tension and risk of making mistakes while trying to finish their tasks.

Perks:

  • Under Surveillance The Pervert can passively observe survivors from a distance. When survivors are healing or interacting with a toilet, their aura is revealed to the Pervert for a short duration.
  • Hygiene Hypnosis After downing a survivor, the Pervert can apply a debuff to them, causing their healing progress to slow by 30% for a limited time. Survivors who are healing in a toilet stall during this time will also experience skill check “traps” (failure increases the debuff duration).
  • Bathroom Scents Whenever a survivor finishes a toilet skill check, they release a loud, obnoxious scent trail for 10 seconds. The Pervert can track the scent trail, revealing their location and allowing him to gain bonus movement speed for a short period.

Survivor: Zara Gomez

Zara Gomez was once an investigative journalist known for her daring articles uncovering the most sordid details of hidden criminal activity. Her most recent investigation led her into a series of unsolved disappearances linked to strange, old public restrooms and the abandoned facilities they were attached to. Zara's curiosity and courage have always been her strength, but this final story would prove to be her undoing. After sneaking into a notorious facility under the cover of darkness, she disappeared without a trace. Now, Zara finds herself trapped in the Entity’s realm, determined to uncover the truth behind her disappearance and put an end to the twisted perversion lurking in the shadows.

Unique Perk 1: "Clean Break"
Zara has an innate ability to escape from dangerous situations. When a survivor is within 8 meters of a completed generator, Zara can break free from a grab or struggle phase by consuming 50% of her healing progress, giving her a brief burst of movement speed (3/4/5 seconds).

Unique Perk 2: "Unflinching"
Zara’s investigative nature makes her resilient under pressure. While repairing a generator or interacting with a toilet, she suffers reduced penalties from the fear mechanic (such as skill check failures or disorientation). She can also recover from being affected by status effects like exhaustion or hindered faster.

Unique Perk 3: "Breaking Point"
After spending a certain amount of time in the Pervert's “Watchful Presence,” Zara learns how to push herself to the limit. Upon completing a generator or using the toilet skill check mechanic, she gains the ability to leave a marker on the map that temporarily distracts the Pervert, revealing his location for a short duration.

    If I were outside the DBD community, I would think it was very strange if you pitched The Plague’s killer power on paper. The same feeling is definitely present here, but I actually believe you cooked very hard in the kitchen. The only change I would make is to alter The Pervert into a more marketable name. Maybe “The Flush” or something aquatic. I don’t think they can use “Pervert”.


    If they followed standard convention and used chests to spawn … “toilets” … across the map according to chest spawns — they’d have to design the toilets to stand out. My only concern beyond small name changes is making the killer power feel serious on open maps like Coldwind. Would you stand on top of the house and see a sea of toilets like Sadako TVs? I guess it wouldn’t be as strange to see toilets if they scattered TVs randomly.

    BHVR could take this concept and go Harry Potter Chamber of Secrets with a Moaning Myrtle-kinda killer. If Rowling didn’t constantly make headlines for all the wrong reasons, this could be a legitimate way to bring Harry Potter to DBD.
