Go next prevention
I don't think we should be penalized for going next if our teammates are goofing around not progressing the match or if they don't bother unhooking us, also we shouldn't be penalized for going next if the killer is destroying us at 4 or 5 gens with no chance of winning. A lot of things have to be considered, this needs to be implemented very carefully

I think this is fair. Cause killer cant leave the match without penalty, so survivors also shouldnt, plus i think it would be a good idea if you can try unhook yourself only with specific perks (slippery meat for example).

when the entire team is slugged and the killer finally puts people on hook, and you can't even self unhook attempt…
It feels like that auto-mori PTB all over agian

A big reason many games feel unwinnable is preciously because survivors are too comfortable giving up over any little thing. As long as "go next" is unpunished there is no incentive for survivors to get better.

IMO both sides should have the ability to leave the game when there was an early DC or Hook Suicide. Give the penalty to the person doing it, totally fine, but let others leave without Penalty. Most Killers dont want to play 3v1s and even more Survivors dont want to play 3v1s.
So if there is an early DC on either side, everyone else can also DC without penalty while keeping all the BPs earned at this point. (Obviously it needs to be defined what "early" means in this case, but I think it should be possible to not have to play out a match which is already decided)

or it might be because the majority of solo queue games are over in the first 3 mins, as someone playing a high tier killer downs a survivor, pops 3 regression/slowdown perks, then tunnels that person off hook immediately. at this point the game is already over.
If maps weren't currently designed to end chases in less than 20 seconds, maybe survivors wouldn't feel so hopeless.

Early DC only works if they remove the bots

Not really. Players can still decide to keep playing with the Bots. The good thing here would be - it would be their choice.
0 -
True, but thats basically saying bots are useless

This. It's matchmaking too. There are a ridiculous number of solo survivor trials that are over as soon as that lobby is put together. Like, the outcome is decided before you even load into the game. Are they planning on addressing that at all? Why is the game entitled to my time when it's not respecting mine? Take a grade if you want, but you're going to start hemorrhaging players if you add a d/c penalty on top of it.

Killer is basically in control of the match. A single survivor is very helpless with zero control of the match. Big difference.
But yes, in usual fashion, there is little insight or knowledge of why people hate finishing a match. Applying punishments is the easiest way and it screams a lack of understanding. Rewards are much better, smoother balancing. Every match should be winnable for both sides not dictated by what the killer brings or performs.
3 -
Dont think that rewards would solve this issue tbh. From my experience most survivors that have this "go next" mentality are survivors that are very high level anyways and have the mindset that the match should be against the killer they want on the map they want and the match should go the way they want from start to finish. You cant really bait these people with BP rewards to stay in the match.
I think this penalty system is a good first step if its constantly monitored and tweaked.

those teammates will get penalized, meaning i think we will see much less cases like that

should’ve been added years ago my only concern is behaviour not recognizing that some people Kill themselves on hook due to accessibility reasons I can’t play against dredge so I have to go next
1 -
They are useless. But IMO players should have the chance to complete the match, if they want to. There are reasons to do so, e.g. Achievement-Progress, Archive-Challenges, Dailies, getting good use out of a Cake or BPS… 9 out of 10 times I would not play out a game where someone DCs very early, if it would be possible to leave without penalty. But if I have a Daily on a Killer I dont like, I would even keep playing when all Survivors are Bots, just to get it done.

Makes sense. Go next is a symptom of a broken, unbalanced game. High level survivors knowing that and knowing that winning is impossible should never be penalized but learned from. It's like forcing a middle school basketball player to play against Michael Jordan for one hour and locking the doors so he can't leave. At some point people need to open their eyes and use their brains when it comes to these things.

I wonder how deaf people can play against Spirit

If your teammates arent progressing the objective they will be punished for it, so yes it is fair. The killer can't just go next either. This needed to happen.

This go next prevention could easily backfire, let's hope I'm wrong

A simple way to stop the go next is put the cages from 2v8 in 1v4. This way there is less chance of giving up. Also slugging wouldn't be an issue and can be reportable.
I myself have been in games where it was 3 swf and me and when I got hooked they just ignored it or hid. That needs to stop. I really think survivor moral is down and that's the biggest problem. No one plays as a team. People are giving up more because they are in a winless situation. How is the system going to know if you purposesly or accidentally run into the killer? Honestly if this gets implemented I may as well stop playing because I constantly run into the killer.

The issue isnt "go next", the issue is why most people do it. And im not talking about those little % that just do it by the likes of them. But bhvr just ignores the core issues again and tries band-aid fiying some edge cases. And the way they suggested this system it will backfire in many normale gameplay cases, e.g. how would the system discern between a survivor subtile trying to go next and just a bad survivor getting his ass killed for being bad? This system is doomed to fail on a big scale.
