Can someone explain to me why the Wiki insists on British English when the game uses American?

Like I said, why does the official Wiki insist on using words like color and haemorage or however you spell it in Latin?
Why not use the actual game text of the perks?

Could be that BHVR are a Canadian company, who'd use the British English spellings (I think exclusively? They at least put the u in colour) and therefore the official wiki follows suit, but the in-game text changes to fit the US version if you're from the US?
Just spitballing, I don't know if that is the case.

Sadly the game industry standard tends to be the inferior filthy colonial version of English... but outside of the game we use proper English 😏😏😏😏

Well, what does the game use in the UK version of the game? What does it use in the Canadian version of the game? Actually had a Canadian friend tell me that they spell some words the British way and some words the American way.

In seriousness, I imagine it's just blunders. As someone who works developing global software tools, it's a common problem in Britain (and Canada I assume) where we have to file bugs for not using American English in documentation or external APIs 😁
Of course some of us stubbornly hide English-English comments in the code when no one is looking or when naming internal variables 😏

Maybe the wiki owner is british

The spelling of Hemorrhage (sorry not sorry) there is really confusing.
Haemorrhage? I'm sorry, but it doesn't look right.

I've always thought this lmfao

Yea, it's based on the Latin, which even most of Britain doesn't even use anymore, so that's what's even more confusing.

The 'ae' sound, which used to be the single æ character, is an /ɛ/ sound, pronounced like 'eh'. The spelling does make sense, even if it is a touch archaic.

Afaik, the wiki admins are all European. It's more common to learn BE spelling in schools there.

Is the difference even that big in the context of a wiki?
