Transferring Account from Epic Games to Steam and Purchasing New DLC

I'm planning to buy Dead by Daylight on Steam during the upcoming sale mainly because of the new DLC. I’ve already unlocked several killers on my Epic Games account and have linked both my Epic Games and Steam accounts to BHVR, although I haven’t purchased the game on Steam yet.

Should I launch the game immediately after buying it on Steam and then purchase the DLC to avoid any issues, or will the content transfer automatically without any problems?
