Survivor Tight Fast Vaults on Controller
Is it possible to get controller fast vaults between windows with a parallel object (i.e a chair), that’s 3 feet away?
Any tips on how to do this? No matter what I try, I can’t nail it. Streamers on keyboard make this look effortless while in chase.

It's one of those i can show u better than i can tell you things. The vast majority of windows can be fast vaulted from any angle regardless of platform. I mainly play on ps5 but can also fast vault most windows on switch. If u legit wanna learn how we can run custom matches.

I'm subscribed to Cope, but for some reason the Youtube algorithm does not like him- so he does not pop up in my feed much. Thanks for reminding me, because he has the overlay showing his PS button prompts. I'll look at one of his tight quarters vaults in slow motion to see what his actions are.

That sounds like a bug that should be fixed, right? Getting a fast vault from a parallel object sounds like bypassing game mechanics.

Oh, no- not a bug. You don't get the fast vault from the object itself; the object (or wall) is positioned fairly close to the window, creating somewhat of a skill expression for the player to execute a fast vault while in chase (because of tight spacing between window & chair/wall/etc.).
I tried to find an example online to screenshot and paste here, but no luck. It would be better to screenshot in game.

Blight's Hug Tech was a "skill expression", and it still got nerfed.
If a survivor normally can't fast vault at a specific angle, then it's not intended for the fast vault to occur there, and a player is bypassing game mechanics to fast vault there.

Sometimes the key is when you press the vault button, requiring it to be done at near the very last possible moment. If you can, take a run at a tricky window a few times without vaulting, and look for that brief moment when the prompt text at the middle bottom of the screen changes to 'fast vault' or whatever it says. It might only flash up briefly, but that's your window to do it.
Sometimes you have to grind along the opposite wall as you're running and then turn last second to give yourself enough spacing and momentum to hit the fast vaults :)

I feel everything on controller has become increasingly harder. Things are way to clunkier now since the last two updates. I used to be able to do that but it hasn't worked for awhile.
