Unfair Ban – Request for Review After Almost 2 Years
Hello, Behaviour Interactive team and Dead by Daylight community,
I am writing this post out of frustration after almost two years of trying to resolve a wrongful ban on my account. Despite numerous attempts to communicate with support, all I have received are generic responses and no clear justification for the ban.
On March 25, 2023, my account was banned under the accusation of using cheats. However, I have never used any hacking tools, third-party software, or anything that violates the game’s terms of service.
Since then, I have contacted support multiple times, only to receive the same vague responses, directing me to Easy Anti-Cheat (EAC). When I reached out to EAC, I was told that they do not disclose any details about detected cheats and that bans cannot be lifted upon request. This leaves me completely in the dark, unable to defend myself properly.
Additionally, this wrongful ban has severely impacted my Steam reputation, making it difficult for me to enjoy other games like CS2. My account remains flagged as if I were a cheater, even though I have received no proof or explanation about what triggered this penalty.
At this point, I don’t know what else to do. All I am asking for is a fair review of my case and a proper explanation for why I was banned. If this ban was issued by mistake, I urge Behaviour Interactive to reconsider and restore my account.
I have attached images of my last attempt to contact support, showing the repetitive and unhelpful responses I received. If any other players have experienced similar situations, please share your experiences.
I sincerely hope that the Behaviour Interactive team will take my case seriously and provide a clear and fair resolution. I just want to play Dead by Daylight again, fairly and honestly.
