Block messages
How do I prevent people from messaging me after a game? I know I can block people but I don't even want to give people the opportunity to message me at all. I see there are so many people who I can't message after a game but they can message me. Is this just because I am on console and not PC? Please help so I can stop people from messaging me.

If you go into your console settings, you SHOULD be able to control who can message you. Many ppl have it set to friends only.

Not sure about XBOX, but if you're on PS go to your profile > privacy settings > Communication and Multiplayer > Who can interact… and choose friends only
Or "No One" if you really want to be a hermit, lol
But be aware that really determined people will often send you a friend request so they can message you if you accept

I had been playing on Xbox for years and never cared about messages. Until I picked up Dead by Daylight. This game alone caused me to change my privacy settings. People are ridiculous when they lose in this game.

On psn I have friends only and if they think am dumb to accept their friend request I am not, actually you can set the option that no one can friend request you and still get messages from you friend only as each setting is separate for different scenarios

You can change settings on PSN or XBOX like people mentioned so people will have to friend request you before they can send a message.
But a much better idea in my opinion is to just use Anonymous mode from within DBD. Then you will be completely anonymous to other players and your name will just be the character you're playing. Nobody can add or message you. You can find it in the settings menu under "Online", at least on PC.

Only Xbox don't have annon mode and idk if it has settings like psn allows you to even block friend requests, God praise Sony xd.

Nah, facts. I never changed my settings on PSN until I started playing DBD. Really has mental patients playing DBD.

Those of us on Xbox cannot even use their Anonymous Mode

Not just when they lose, either.
People act the fool in postgame over anything. And what's wild is that a lot of the time it's the worst players slinging the most crap.
It's just better not to subject yourself to it, imo.
