Shoulder The Burden: Good or Nah?
I have seen nothing but negative uses of this perk, people just farming and going death hook for no reason. Does it need a buff?

its very on and off. I see it like once every 10 games, mostly when multiple people use it, but all the time its used, the latest user ends up getting tunneled out

It's.... decent.
If it works, it WORKS, but that only happens under select circumstances, and works best when multiple people have it and all know what to do.
Kinda like the self-unhook build, but better.

The perk is as good as the survivors, if it's an experienced team, it will win you games, if you don't know which button to press to repair the generator, you'll probably lose with it

I feel like its only good if you have ds and you use it on a death 2nd stage teammate who lost their ds, that way you can anti tunnel if you end up going down

It's one of the strongest perks in the game if used properly, it does not need to be buffed in any way.
Yes there are several ways to use this perk poorly or in a way that is detrimental to your team but that's not the perk's fault nor does it suddenly make the perk bad.

it's an insanely strong perk that allows a person who would otherwise die stay in the game

i want it to work more than once per game lol

u mean you'd want to be death hook for a teammate? Bruh thats crazy

It's very strong. The simple act of forcing a 4 hook spread is incredibly strong, after all, but it does require proper play to use it well, which most survivors simply aren't capable of. So it makes sense you mostly see people throw with it.

I would never take a stage for a solo queue teammate, only because i know they're not going to last long enough anyway for the trade to be worth it. I've never used the perk other than for adept, and i never will

It's one of the strongest perks in the game by far. The ability to just straight up deny the Killer a kill by transferring a hook state from a death hook survivor to somebody that hasn't been touched is insanely valuable. The only aguments I have ever seen people make against this perk basically boil down to "well its bad if you're using it wrong / if your team is bad", which is a idiotic argument, it's like saying "well Nurse isnt top tier because if you can't land your blinks she's useless".

lol yes xD
I use taurie when the challenge is to get X unhooks, that way i guarantee 2 extra unhooks if I dont die befire that

It has too many negatives to make it worth it, the exposed should be removed.

Shoulder The Burden is one of those perks where the idea is cool but I dont think it will work for most players just from the nature of the game and SoloQ.
From my experience, Ive gotten alright value, but my main issue is in SoloQ, sometimes players yoink the save before you can get it and/or the Survivor who is unhooked runs straight into the Killer and dies in 10 seconds. Because teammates cannot see your perks in SoloQ and because there is no way to guarantee good teammates in SoloQ, you will face this issue often.
This perk can be amazing in SWFs though, since all the downsides of the perk are covered.
