The Least Talked About Topic - DbD's Music
First off, I'd like to start with: this is my opinion. Not all of this will apply for everyone. This is also not intended to insult or slander anyone, only to provide constructive criticism.
Alright. Let's start with the theme music - the thing that plays in the offline lobbies. I think it will always be a staple of Dead by Daylight to hear those four notes, but in my opinion a very large amount of all of the lobby music has just been kind of bland. My absolute favorite lobby music was Clown and Legion's.

Those were perfect, they had more than two instruments going on (noticeably) and had cool differences in the motif.

Is what made me want to create this post. I think this is a perfect way to twist the motif. It sounds absolutely creepy and powerful. I digress.
What I want to touch on next is the heartbeat/chase music. We'll start with the survivor side.
The heartbeat music is...varying. Some of it is a terrifying scream at you to get running, some of it is a weird techno beat that feels like it belongs in guitar hero or something. I think some of it needs touching up, a little more bass, a little more screeching violins. Y'know, the usual.
The chase music for survivors is the same way. Hit or miss.
Then we got the killer chase music, the animalistic chases. I think there's only two variations you can get? For the chase. It kind of sucks. They're both pretty good, but there's gotta be more. Survivors have like 8 different chase musics.
Finally, the music that plays while a killer is just roaming. It's not enough. I think it's just a very quiet bassy beat that just drones in the background, but I think it should be touched up a little to make you feel like you're on the hunt.

It is so loud and sometimes, I just want to get healed to get rid of the music.

I tried to stay in the state, but dying you bleed out, and injured your loud without the perk iron will

One thing i forgot to talk about - I would ABSOLUTELY ADORE if they had a specific heartbeat music for each killer.

I liked Spirit’s! It sounded so sad, and had Japanese instruments in the back. Clown was nice, I liked that. Legion was way too loud for me. I didn’t like the electric guitar much.Ihatelife said:@ReneAensland said:

I think there are a handful (6-8?) of different heartbeat themes right now. They could be tweaked to fit specific killers, then they could add a couple more for the rest. I'm not sure how they might "theme" the songs though.

Definitely some different opinions. I personally think the 2 you liked the most (Clown and Legion) were the WORST ones we've had yet. I couldn't wait for those 2 to be gone. All the rest were much better imo. My favorite was probably the winter solstice theme.
I like the screams idea but I'd like some slower creepier themed music and not faster and heavier beats which is what you seem to be going for.

The winter theme is still my favorite. Those bells are awesome. And the summer BBQ was really rad too.

I like how from the version 2.0.0 to -->... they just make new lobby song to fit the killers.They have time to make lobby song but dont have time to make different chase music for killer ? that sad.i hope in some good day after dedicated servers,hope they remake all chase music for both survivor and killers

What of they just added a menu in the settings screen to select your music preferences.
The lobby music, chasing music, ambient music. You can still have the option to keep it default (randomized), or even turn off the music completely. That way you can only hear the game sounds such as the heartbeat, footsteps, and breathing for more accuracy (for those competative players).0 -

The Legion's soundtrack was easily my favorite one. I'm a metalhead and a Legion main, so of course it appeals to me.

People are gonna hate me for this, but I heavily dislike all the alternative variations of the menu music except for the Legion's theme. Every time a new event or Killer comes out, I can't want for the dafault msuic to come back. With, of course, the exception of Legion. I was depressed when that ######### left.

I loved the Legion's music. Sad to see it go. I liked the rest too, the Winter theme made me feel cold for some reason.
