Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

This event is just brutally unfun on both sides

If you play solo queue survivor, every single game is just a Ghoul running a full hex Crowd Control/Blood Favor build with the iri that causes everyone to scream. The first person goes down in 20 seconds and the game is over, you can't do anything. The first person caught always gets turbo tunneled out of the game.

If you play any killer besides Ghoul or some other s-tier, it's turbo gen rushing getting 3 to 4 hooks before the gens are done because of how fast the objective is unless you're playing a super oppressive mobility killer.

I'm only doing the bare minimum to get the event tomes, but I can't with this event anymore. At least I can use some gen defense as killer in the normal mode, so I'll do that from now on

As killer there's very little you can do against genrush in this event (unless you go for S tier killers who don't need it much), so right now I'm focusing on getting Steam achievements and tome challenges and trying out killers I had never played before. I literally disregard the result of the match altogether, I simply do not care if I lose due to genrush and prioritize getting challenges & achievements done. Since I started out this mentality I've enjoyed the event a lot more as killer, especially because even if I lose I still get like double points than the survivors, not to mention that the multipliers make it so I can easily earn 150k a match.

If you /really/ care about winning, though, I highly encourage going for endgame builds. Since you're pretty much guaranteed to reach endgame every match, those builds come in clutch very often.

As survivor I've pretty much lost any interest in the event and I'm only playing as a duo when one friend I sometimes play with asks me to. But man is it rough. We just played a bunch of matches and, among very awful matches, the cherry on top was a Kaneki who humped everyone after downing them. As if it took skill or anything lol. The few matches I get against other killers are also quite tough because everyone is playing /very/ aggressively and sweatily, which I honestly don't blame them for because gens fly, but man is it draining. Like I said, I'm not playing survivor unless I'm hanging out on Discord with said friend because I can't be bothered to fulfill Kaneki mains' weird power fantasies. And though I am thankful for literally everyone who is playing other killers (like me!) and eases the Kaneki frenzy a bit, the fact that many are still so adamant on winning and will tunnel, camp or slug every game doesn't motivate me to play much. I respect it because we all play differently and the lack of any slowdown whatsoever makes it so they often have to resort to other strategies to win, especially on lower tier killers. But it demotivates me from playing survivor all the same lol I just wanna chill.

Ya know whats funny? Got just as many xenos as ghouls tonight. Only one ghoul ran blood favor. The ones tunneling were the xenos. People lasted from 10 seconds to a minute… Funny yea?

Tonight I've been getting a lot of pigs, and one ghoul. Just saying ghoul isn't overpowered. He takes a free hit from you,and then turns into a M1 killer. I'm easily able to loop ghoul after the free hit. What I think needs to change is his hit scan. Hitting me around corners and walls, locking me into a animation is obnoxious. He isn't stronger than spirit on the tier list imo.

My solution is scratch mirror Myers on Hawkins. Most survivors are bringing bloodshot eye so there isn't as many sac wards flying around. Getting about 150,000 to 175,000 BP per match. I literally went afk for a bit at the start, came back and found 3 gens were done. Still managed to stop them from doing the 2 remaining gens and got 4k. Just saying there are ways without using super mobile killers.
