Is there any reason to kick gens anymore?
I like to use Pop, Eruption and scourge hook but I’ve noticed that I can’t use Pop or scourge on the same gen more than twice before the entity blocks it for some reason making it just a normal gen hit.
Why? Just why? Survivors get to run from pallet to pallet mindlessly holding W the whole time, yet I the killer can’t hold some pressure on the generators without the game going “no no, that’d be too much of a challenge for the SWF” and actively denying my perks.

There was an update months ago to combat 3 gens which meant a single gen can only be regressed by killer perks/hits I think 7(?) times and then it is blocked by the entity preventing the killer from interacting with it for the rest of the match. It shouldn't happen after two hits though, so gen slowdown is still a valid strategy, perhaps it's a skill issue?

8 times in total so if you hit it with pop + eruption it wil take away 3 of those 8 limits if im not mistaken

It would take away 2 if pop and eruption were applied at the same time

Then a 3rd when eruption went off from a down.

No? The kick where you apply PGTW and Eruption is one Regression Event, not two seperate ones. Then when Eruption triggers (when a Survivor is downed), it is the second Regression Event.

I misread. Thought they were talking about pop being a separate kick.

Perspective and context are important. They completely overhauled Spine Chill, and when they announced plans to address 3-genning, their initial actions involved nerfing Boon: Circle of Healing and reducing the effectiveness of med-kits. I always thought the healing Boon provided an effective counterbalance to three-genning, but it seems they were focusing on addressing prolonged game runtimes before tackling killer-side issues related to 3-genning. They additionally weakened the windows and pallets on several maps, creating highly advantageous three-genning zones, such as the main building on Lampkin Lane. When they first introduced the 8 -kick limit, my friend was thrilled, but I perceived it as essentially a 56- kick limit. I never encountered a regular game where a killer would block a generator, only reading about such instances from killer mains complaining about SWF teams pressuring the mid-generator on the Mount Ormond Resort map. Personally, I have only ever hit the eight-kick limit while playing in the 2v8 event.
However, the whole 3-genning thing is not a prominent strategy right now, indicating that adjustments have apparently been effective (I guess, until they nerf the deja vu perk).
