So what is exactly is being tested with this new cap? I just hope we keep it in the game after bloodmoon because it’s very nice. But I need to know whats the purpose of testing a cap??

    • Farmbots: People can use bots that play afk killer for them and this one will Farm BP for them and since the BP cap is by 5mio, the bots can Farm for longer. In some cases, these users can sell their account to other players (an account with good BP, Shards, and still low MMR). AFK bots are an issue for new players, especially in Asia.
    • Maybe the developers don't want that players hoarder too much BP and then instantly prestige a new character to like 20 or in short time to 100. I guess, they still think having a P100 is special. Thus, having a P100 character that just got released always seems a bit sus and maybe they get reported more.
    • It could reduce the grinding aspect because with 5mio cap you are much later forced to spend BP into a character. However, then maybe you are less likely to spend these BP because its 5mio which takes a while. So you could think "OK let's end it here" and then you get demotivated to play since you need to spend the BP first before you can play (in terms of mindset and the nature of humans to not waste stuff).

    These are my guesses why the developers are so strict when it comes to the BP cap and now they test it so see if these things will happen more.

    The expected BP gains from the Blood Moon event are the reason they raised it. Especially once we reach the 500% milestone, I can imagine that blood will be flowing.

    And then it's really easy to hit the 2m cap, forcing you to spend a lot of points before you can play a match again. At least now you can game at your own leisure without having to worry about the cap. At least not as much as normally.
