Can't Link Account to Epic Games

I clicked the link from my in-game inbox stating that I could get 4500 iridescent shards by linking my Epic Games account to my BHVR account. I signed up for a BHVR account, checked every box, and went to link my Epic Games account. Without fail, every time I would successfully log into my Epic Games account, it would start the process over again. After going through said process 5 times, I switched from Firefox to Google Chrome, but that didn't solve the problem. After trying that three times, I used Google Chrome on my phone, but to the same result.
