Bad matchmaking (even worse than normal)?
Has anyone else experienced really awful matchmaking the past couple of days? I have been thrown into matches with absolute potatoes with regularity on both sides, and in both the event and normal queues.
I escaped in 9 of 10 matches (solo) yesterday, and no joke had three consecutive where I didn't get downed. And I was interacting the killer constantly. I am not nearly good enough for that to happen under normal circumstances. I had one match where the killer (and Artist) pretty clearly didn't even know how their power worked.
And not much better from on the killer side (though that shouldn't really be that surprising at the moment). Lots of really new/bad survs. I'm pretty much just goofing off in every match at this point, half-assing and letting people go.
Kind of shocking, especially for a weekend. Anyone else?

I have seen more bad matches lately. I would not say it is the majority, but it is 100% more. I also noticed that the Killer queues were a bit faster yesterday (still long, but I could get less watch of a Youtube-Video in while waiting, lol). My guess would be that the Devs increased the Matchmaking-Ranges to have faster queues for Killer, since they were way too long the past few days (until recently).

Matchmaking has been non-functional for a long time and is by far the biggest problem with the game. On the survivor side, just yesterday I had three solo queue games in a row with good, experienced teammates. All were fun and I escaped all three. The 4th game threw me into a lobby with someone who had like 20-something hours in the game and another default-skin Claudette who was likely also brand new.
There’s really no excuse for matchmaking to be this horrific when the survivor queues are instant. I’d gladly wait a couple minutes to actually be matched with other survivors of similar skill level.Solo queue experience is fine when I have competent teammates. It’s dreadful when I’m matched with brand new players who get downed every five seconds and spend most of the game crouching and hiding when they hear the faintest sound of a terror radius. The core issue with the game isn’t killer vs survivor balance - it’s the non-functional matchmaking.

As killer I've been matched against a godlike 4-man SWF one game and against newbie potatoes the next. But this is all happening within the event mode, which does not use any MMR afaik, so I think it's bound to happen.
