What happens if you buy something in the ptb?
I haven't tried it yet but I wanted to try something new but that would require me to buy a character in the shop.
So I was wondering what would happen if I try this in the ptb.
Does it work and get transfered to the main game or does it blow up?

For this PTB the auric cells weren't automatically given out, you had to go into the news/messages section and from there you could claim them. I believe it's 12500 cells, but obviously they don't transfer back to Live

Any purchase you make on the PTB will only be on the PTB. So you dont lose any currency on the Live Version and you also will not gain anything on the Live Version what you have bought on the PTB.

You only keep it for the duration of the PTB, in the PTB only. It is not transferred to the main game, nor do you lose any main game currency for spending it in the PTB. So feel free to buy anything you want in the PTB! But be aware that you'll have it in the PTB only.

I assume that the ptb is not connected to the auric cell shop then? Because some things can only be paid with auric cells but I don't have enough

I think in the most recent PTBs they added a bunch of auric cells to everyone's accs so that everyone can try out whatever licensed stuff they want, even skins! Of course those auric cells are PTB exclusive though.
