Good news from the survey!
You were right everyone! It's the KILLERS FAULT from the perspective of the most recent survey. That's right, killers make the game unbearable and we are the detriment. After all despite having the Ghoul nerfed like everyone wanted the queue for killer is still over 16 minutes!

Why are you purposely making this to start a flame war? grow up.

Oh that's right sarcasm doesn't translate well into text

ghoul op needed nerf most people couldn’t figure it out. Most of the player base is casual. Even long time vets were like this is kinda nutty. Even then the adjustments were a slap on the wrist.

I spent almost the entire survey talking about my feelings as a survivor player.
I saw a grand total of zero questions asking about killer player satisfaction.

They must be noticing survivors going on hiatus in decent amounts, me being one of the daily solo queue survivor players that haven't played in weeks.

the reason i don't play survivor is mot at due to the killers i go against but the teamates i get . Solo queue is awfull and i don't know anyone who plays dbd so i stick to killer which i enjoy more anyways . However i rarelly ever blame the killer for a bad match as survivor as its almost always the other teamates playing awfully.

Asking the players responsible for the bad state of the game makes much sense.

i mean i was partially able to say stuff from a killers point of view but not as much as survivor

My queues are 10 seconds idk what to tell ya

yeah one of my friends straight up uninstalled recently over the direction survivor gameplay has been going down. I am not surprised the survey is geared towards survivors when they had to be hard bribed to even do 2v8.

Makes me sad to think about where the survivor role is currently tbh. Dbd was my favorite game with almost 5000 hours locked in, now it's just miserable to play.

If you have that many hours, there's probably some burnout involved as well. I'm feeling it, even though I have just over 3k hours. So I'll be taking a break once this Blood Moon event ends. Probably not an extensive one, I'll probably just play on my "weekends" rather than every single day. I've finally achieved my dream of getting my Dwight to P100, so there's no reason to grind as hard anymore.

Burnout plays a part yes, but the balance issues are a huge reason why i decided to stop playing.

DBD currently has a very survivor sided event, that often spawns blood generators that are impossible to defend.
It’s so survivor sided that my killer queues for the event is decently fast, even though a massively popular killer was released less than a week ago.

The survey asked me if I liked to spend my non DBD related leisure time Baking.
I assume we're getting a baking mini game added in the next patch to improve survivor retention.
I will only play survivor if they implement this.

did you fill out the in game survey and tell them what you find unbalanced about it? I love surveymonkey(the software application) they used.

Yes, i filled it out!

I'm not talking about the event at all actually when i talk about balance issues.

great love to hear it! I hope people that play killer or anyone for that matter is using the option box for text to elaborate for anything that wasn’t an option or you feel needs more of an explanation as to why.

Well, considering most of the people I know stopped playing, and I myself take long breaks from the game because of the toxicity I encounter from both killers and teammates from time to time, I'm glad they are asking the survivor side this time. Mind you I play both roles, and as a survivor, which I favor, I'm always solo, but people tend to forget who has the power role here. Killers are allowed to play the match at all times, while survivors can and will be forced to not play (being slugged for example). Never as a killer have I been unable to play the game, while as a survivor I have been held hostage multiple times by killers refusing to kill me and just being douchebags to me with no provocation whatsoever. Glad they are finally adressing what really matters most for the casual playerbase.

If they've given us a survey asking why survivors don't want to play, in the third week of a 500% bp bonus survivor sided event no less, then clearly there's an issue and they want to know why. I doubt they just spin a wheel and base a survey on whatever random topic it lands on. Also, there's an Other option for each section, where you can fill out other reasons you're dissatisfied. I made good use of that.
