Remember when the devs said they would fix the remaining problems in Garden of Joy?
This is from the patch notes of the update that introduced Chucky: Nov 28, 2023. Pay attention to the "PTB Feedback for the House" part.
It's been a year and 5 months already. Since that, there have been 5 new killer releases and 6 mid-chapters. It's always good to emphazise: this was a rare ocasion were the devs were quick to admit a flaw and a problematic aspect in a map rework they had just released: "the structure of house is still problematic it is noted and will be part of a future pass on the building".
So, where is this future pass? Because it's been almost a year and a half and nothing got announced. The main building is still problematic as ever and Garden of Joy is still one of the worst maps to play as killer, if not the worst.

Garden of Joy still feels awful for all Killers tbh, and definitely needs a big overhaul. The little changes made aren't enough.

Yeah, the changes made to that map were too… minimalistic. They only toned down some of his must absurd/blatant problems, like the random small clutter killers kept running into, or the ridiculous number of perfectly-aligned pallets. But there are still lots of pallets that are very strong and well-aligned, they are just not right in front of the others like before.
The house is just the most obvious problem, and the one that the devs acknowledged themselves. Main-buildings aren't supposed to have such strong windows anymore like the one in the dining room, specially not one that includes a god-pallet on the same loop. What annoys me is that the devs acknowledged the rework they had just released had let this problem pass, promised to change it, and still didn't do it after more than a year.

Yeah the only change I noticed about garden is the god truck being removed from the front yard. Other than that the house and surrounding loops is still as powerful as ever.

I honestly feel like they've just given up on map reworks at this point since the feedback has never been very positive on any of their changes.
They either do too little like with Garden, or do too much like with Haddonfield.

The devs always promise stuff and never deliver if it's too tough for them to implement. That's why everyone shouldn't be holding their breath with this "Quality of Life Initiative" nonsense. Believe it when you see it.

Garden Of Joy ain't as bad as a lot make out, the house certainly needs toned down a bit particularly the windows and then the car park up the far corner too. Other than that tho it's ok.

No, it's crazy broken. Just non-stop good loops into filler pallets.

Garden of Joy isn't bad… if you play anyone who's about mid A tier or higher. Or anyone with strong mobility. Or anyone who breaks looping. Or anyone who isn't M1. Or anyone who doesn't need to worry about collision.
So basically, GoJ isn't bad if you're Kaneki, Nurse, Blight, or… Oh, just those three actually.2 -
Last time they moved the safe pallet to connect to the main building window loop, making it stronger, and called it a day. The main building's window still has a jungle gym in front of it, often with a straight window. Then, the killer shack connects to several jungle gyms in line next to each other. The problems with the map are so obvious that it is hard to believe they don't know how to address them.

Honestly? Just making the map a bit bigger but not adding any extra tiles would be a massive help. And lowkey - this map really doesn't need a Shack. At all. The tiles and main are enough.
