Killer Concept: The Warlord
Made a concept last year for a post apocalyptic themed chapter. But decided a bomb based killer was a bit tricky. So here's another wasteland killer.
The Warlord
Real Name: Unknown
Menu Description: A Searing Killer who wields otherworldly flames to weaken survivors and can set the ground ablaze. His personal Perks 'Apex', 'Radiated Blood' and 'Hex: BadLands' turn the trial into a killer's personal playground while limiting survivors recovery efforts.
Physical Description: A tall killer (Around Nemesis Height) covered in keloid scars and scraps of metal jutting from his skin. His lower face is covered with a skull mask with gas canisters. He wears armor made from scraps of metal and tires. Small spouts of green flame will pop up randomly around his body.
Weapon: The Wasteland Culler, a large bludgeoning weapon fashioned from metal scraps and barbed wire.
Killer Bio: Decades had passed since the world fell into nuclear war. All that was left of the world was an irradiated wasteland… where even the ocean had dried up into mountains of salt. As mankind struggled to recover, a new empire was being built. A tall man cloaked in fire had appeared… calling himself Warlord. His strength and control of a strange flame was more than enough to convince others to fight under him. Soon tales of the 'Legion of Flame' spread as Warlord's army wandered from settlement to settlement, killing it's citizens and razing everything to the ground.
However the Warlord didn't seem to care about taking resources or food. No… he seemed intent on finding something else. While those who tried to investigate were executed, rumor had spread of some 'Clawed Entity' and something called 'Black Vale'.
During a particularly brutal raid, a black fog surrounded Warlord as he finally found it… a book filled with odd inscriptions and markings. His followers watched in horror and awe as large black claws began to drag Warlord into a new kind of hell. A perfect new world for the taking.
Killer Power: World Ender
A strange flame said to be from the very first bomb that ignited the war. Warlord has access to three sub abilities. When a survivor is hit by any of these, they become Enflamed.
Flame Lob: After a brief wind up, Warlord throws a ball of fire in an arc. If the flame hits the ground, it sets a small area on fire.
Inflamed: Warlord sets his weapon on fire for a brief duration. Survivors hit by his basic attacks gain the broken status effect for 20 seconds. Using a basic attack on a dropped pallet or breakable wall will immediately break them but will also end the power.
Searing Rage: With a loud roar, Warlord sets the area around him ablaze. Survivors caught in the initial blast gain Deep Wound and will slowly become Enflamed if they stay in the area. The flame lasts for 25 seconds.
Status Effect: Enflamed. Survivors hit by any of Warlord's abilities become Enflamed. Survivors who are Enflamed can perform the 'Put Out' action to remove the status effect.
While Enflamed, a small fire will appear on the survivor. Over a period of time, the fire will become hotter and larger, eventually injuring the survivor and causing the Hindered status effect. When the flame has reached it's max level, survivors will periodically scream in pain.
Also if a dropped pallet or breakable wall is hit by an ability or touched by an enflamed survivor, they will break after a period of time.
Perks
Apex: The wasteland knows you are it's ultimate predator. When a generator is completed, gain the haste status effect for 5 seconds.
Radiated Blood: If the flames don't kill you, the poison in the air will. When a survivor is healed to full health, this perk activates. The next time that survivor is injured, they suffer the mangled status effect.
Hex: BadLands: Make them regret stepping foot on your territory. At the start of the trial, three totems are turned into Hex Totems. Whenever a Survivor cleanses or blesses a hex totem, a generator being worked on will be blocked for a period of time. If all active Hex Totems are cleansed, The generator with the most progress will be blocked by the entity.
