Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Is there enough content in the Resident Evil universe for a third DBD chapter?

I am unsure.

Of course, but I don't think we need it. Im always up for more skins and legendaries though. As a die-hard fan I'm incredibly grateful for having 2 chapters already. If anything, thank god Capcom allows re characters in the other game modes like 2v8.

There absolutely is. I think dbd doesn't need a 3rd resident evil chapter though. Two from the same license is already an exception. 3 would, imo, be overload.

Just like @Memesis id gladly take more skins though.

The RE universe is huge. There are a lot of games, a lot of characters and locations and enemies. There's multiple DbD chapters' worth of content. But...

The first RE chapter release saw a huge, huge spike in the number of people playing this game. Possibly the largest spike the game's ever seen (I can't remember).

The second RE chapter release didn't even come close to that.

I don't think the amount of content in RE comes into play, here. I think we got a second RE chapter only because the first one did unprecedentedly well. It's unlikely the performance of the second chapter justifies a third.

There's tons of incentive for more skins, though. The right Jill, Ada, and Rebecca skins would probably print money.

As others are saying, plenty of content. Especially if they weren't trying to do survivors/killers in each chapter.

True, though the first chapter released while player numbers were already on the upswing, and the second chapter seemed to come out amidst a pretty heavy downswing.

I do think this is generally right and any future chapters wouldn't have access to nearly as many iconic elements as they included in the first two.

I'd say there's enough content for one more chapter that wouldn't start to feel like it's reaching, by using either Jack Baker or Lady D. I guess you could make them into separate chapters, but I think it'd be neater to see a chapter for early RE, a chapter for mid-era RE, and a chapter for modern RE.

Not that I think they should any time soon, though, we've got enough to be going on with for now. More skins would be nice, but I don't think we need another chapter just yet.

I feel like there's a reason Ethan Winters hasn't been added yet. He's one of the few 'main' protagonists missing from the game in some way. We know that Capcom and BHVR were discussing Wesker/Nemesis at the same time when the first RE chapter was being planned so it's quite possible that Ethan Winters and RE7/RE8 content was being discussed at that time as well.

I'm still waiting on the RE7 chapter with Jack as killer, and Mia and/or Clancy from the DLC as survivors. It'd be perfect.

I think none of the RE8 villains have enough presence or potential compared to Jack, and I wouldn't really want a fourth chapter, but if they did… Heisenberg's powers would be interesting.

Resident Evil has easily a lot more.

But even if i am an a huge fan i think it is enough RE in DbD now.

Also the classic chars are a lot better than the new ones.

If they add one other thing then maybe Lady D as she would sell like crazy.

The amount of monsters or bio-organic weapons RE has is honestly ridiculous, just not as flashy as what we have now

I personally would love Ashley Graham/Luis and U3 as a killer

Or Alexia Ashford as a killer and maybe bring Claire and Chris some cosmetics

    Alfred Ashford over Deathslinger

U3 would be great over unknown or even Saddler.

RE7 Evelyn who could deploy molded/Baker family members and Mia as a survivor, I'd say Ethan but they never show his face lol

There's definitely enough content in the RE universe for multiple chapters but I don't feel that means it should be a thing. Plenty of room for skins though. I feel we missed the window for a new map in the RE universe and we're stuck with just RPD.

I personally want a Jack Baker skin for The Hillbilly since he has a chainsaw weapon in the main RE7 game. Past that I am honestly pretty content with Resident Evil content in the game.

Without a shadow of a doubt. They can easily still take content from resident evil 1-6 with survivor skins and legendries, and they have not even touched the Ethan Winters games yet which is a goldmine of content to make overpriced skins from.
