Anti- strategies

So I've recently come back to dbd and some of the changes just seem strange to me. Mainly the anti camping, anti tunnel, and anti slugging patches. Now I'm not one to camp, because it gives free gens, and im not one to tunnel because im usually busy doing something other than eaiting for someone to be unhooked and I'm usually not one to slug unless people are just running around a downed survivor. While I don't condone them they are a valid, or were in this case, strategy that has just been removed from the game. plus the anti camping leads to some awkward moments where I have to back away from the hook even though I know all 3 other survivors are around, I just dont know exactly where, just because of how it works. plus the ironic thing is that adding the base kit endurance just encourages tunneling. I cant tell you how many times someone had been unhooked in front of me and instead of using the haste/endurance to get away they try to abuse it and body block at which point I do the very difficult task of counting to 10, downing them, and re hooking then because of it. Now aside from some changes just being annoying (base kit endurance just leads to people saving right in front of you whether you we chasing them, they were following you, or whatever.) some others just promote survivors giving up. As much as I find the abandon mechanic hilarious it really just makes it easier for someone to give up and throw just to go next, meaning everyone else's game gets ruined (i mean not mine but I dont think everyone finds it as funny as me) My point is that most of the systems in place don't really solve the "problem" (a huntress can just sit 16 meters away aiming at the hooked survivor) and on top of that it just seems weird to remove, albiet boring, strategies. Im just worried it will set a precident to remove more interesting/fun strategies.

None of those things have been removed, is the main thing to point out here.

You can still camp, you just can't stand directly next to the hook unless other survivors are around (which makes the bar fill very slowly, if you're not aware).

You can still tunnel, it's just not quite as ridiculously broken as it used to be since you can't down someone as soon as their feet touch the ground. The Endurance bodyblocking is annoying but as you point out… you can tunnel through it.

You can still slug, it's… not actually been changed, yet, there's no anti-slugging in the game right now. Considering BHVR labelled the abandon feature as anti-slug when it isn't (an issue they've had before, they label things strangely sometimes) I'd suggest a "wait and see" approach before we need to talk about the effects of whatever it is they do have planned later in the year.

Now, I do want to point out that removing specifically tunnelling wouldn't actually be a problem, player agency is important but not when it exclusively causes problems. However, that's not what they're doing. They're not removing strategies, they're weakening strategies, and only problematic ones at that.

That's not just not a problem, it's a good thing, it's what you'd expect live balance to be aiming for.
