Small Nitpick About The New Quest System
Okay maybe a couple, one is dumb, the rest are kind of like "…oh."
Let's start with the extremely stupid one that realistically does not matter.
From where I sit in my room while playing dbd I took this picture. Keep in mind I'm usually on console. Can you read for me what those rewards say? Obviously you can tell they're bloodpoints and rift fragments, but you can't actually read how much you're getting from them. The text appears so small and I'm not sure about most of you, but console players aren't sitting a 5 inches in front of their tv screens like how must pc gamers are because that's just how pcs are. I can't read what I'm getting, the text is way too small. Obviously that's a small nitpick because, once you get the reward you see everything you're getting from the round and it's blown up correctly so you can see what it says. Also because these challenges are essentially "play the game" so you won't even notice it.
That gets into the next thing, maybe this will change, but seeing what we saw in the ptb, I highly doubt it. There's no quintessential rift challenges. No memory shards, no glyphs, no nothing. They're all "play the game" challenges and although that's fine, they made the rift feel more interesting. The entire thing that made rift and ritual challenges more fun was that they were more specific and weren't just all "get chased" "do a gen" "slap a survivor." However, with the new quest system, that's all rift, milestone, and daily challenges are. The new challenges, although they also existed before, are so bland and I'm not sure how I like the idea that this is likely all we'll get and there's no more interesting or unique challenges.
Basically, the devs have stated that they changed these systems to make things more in line with other games, but in doing so they stripped their challenge systems of everything that made them stand out. Outside the fact that you're forced to participate in them by readying up, there's nothing from this system that would make me go "Why should I care about it more than another game that I also like?" All it's personality is gone.

Yeah, I hate that.
Add in the fact they changed the Rift UI and it now looks like this:
Like a cheap mobile game with the BUY NOW! button front and center.

This game is looking more and more like a free-to-play mobile game from 2017 and that's so depressing man

As someone who played DbD mobile for a bit, the UI is incredibly similar to the challenges Mobile version had. So no wonder it looks like a cheaper mobile game now…
The removal of unique challenges was something that bothered me and what I brought up as well during PTB feedback. Overall the idea seems to be making the game simpler for new players and also removing specific challenges that might make you sandbag your team, though in my opinion this is at the cost of making the game more boring and generic. The Archives had really unique visuals and sound design as well, compared to this.

what i dont get either is why did they decided to switch the premium and free track

Exactly! I feel like the devs forget, although there has been backlash over how the tomes were handled in the past, outside of a few really stupid challenges and not being able to select as many as you want, no one was really complaining about it. The fun challenges in the tome made the game more fun, with how long the game has been around, I'm a little shocked that with the tomes they want to revert back to "do gen and die" simulator. That's an extremely boring loop that the archives have been helping with with the more interesting challenges. No I don't want to do 20 "do gens" challenges instead of maybe 3 or 4 throughout an entire tome. People wanted to be able to do multiple so they go do the "do gens" challenge at the same time as a fun challenge like the memory shards or glyphs. Get the boring ones done while having a blast. No one wanted them to make the change so they could just add more "do gens" challenges and scrap the glyphs or shards for even more room for even more "do gens" challenges. As an example.

DBD was one of the only games I played with a battle pass where finishing the pass happened naturally through playing and didn't feel like a chore.
I really, really hope these changes don't make me feel so obligated to play to finish that it feels like a second job. Hell one of the things I constantly talked about with friends was how much I love DBD's rift pass because of how simple it is to complete and fill out.

But what will the new players coming in with FNAF think? The old way was so confusing, this new way is much better. Simple and sanitized for mass consumption.

It's so tacky. They're gradually erasing all of DbD's visual identity.

Gacha game UI in our DBD? More likely than you think.

Can highly agree on this. New rift ui is so bad

how do we add old rift challenges????? Also we can’t rate our games anymore

I would not mind having a larger font on PC either.

What did rating the games do anyway?

The Tome challenges are seperate from the new Quest system. You can still access and complete them as normal, but they don't fall under the workings of the Quest system, meaning you can only do one at a time for each role.

Nothing, lol, same as the thumbs-up button.
