My thoughts on Steady Pulse

So with the update out for a couple of hours now, I have a few opinions, some good, some bad, let's start with the things I like first.

Orela Rose is great, her perks are decent, she has a nice model, the voicework is top-notch, her cosmetics look great, and more LGBT Rep is always nice. She's not going to be a main of mine since I'm too invested into Jake at this point, but I think she's going to have a good amount of people maining her.

The buffs to various haste perks are nice, I wish more of them got buffed in general but this is a good start.

Kaneki's nerf was also a good thing, people can actually make distance against him now, it really didn't change his overall strength that much since his mobility and vaulting are still really strong but more counterplay is always a good thing. Now put the same "break pallet = power cooldown" system on Blight and I'll be double happy.

The Deep Rift recolours coming in sets of 3 is nice, more customisation = more gooder, and it's nice to see the Rift Pass getting more value.

The various QOL stuff like perk previews and the protection against last second skillchecks are great as well, a easier time for everyone is always nice.

Now for the negatives.

Orela's great, what's not great is her being quieter then Ace. People joke about some survivors getting Iron Will for free but Jesus H Christ she straight up has it for free. I don't know if this was a bug or if it was intentional but you genuinely cannot hear Orela around most loops, please fix this.
And while you're on that, where's that survivor volume equalisation you were talking about a couple years back BHVR? Why are some survivors able to be heard from miles away while others have Iron Will for free? Like I know sound in this game has always been completely broken but come on.

The UI rarity changes: ew, gross, change it back, I don't care if it's industry standard, people are capable of reading text blurbs, they can figure out the rarities really easily, don't fix what isn't broken.

Speaking of fixing things that aren't broken, the Rift system

I hate this, like genuinely I hate it, there were a myriad of ways you could make the Daily Rituals not suck but tossing away the Archives was absolutely not it. There is nothing here that says "Dead by Daylight" here, it's just more generic, uninspired menus that are in literally every other live service game. Like by all means keep this for dailies, but why throw away something that helped DBD stand out from other games? On the subject of the Rift actually, I also really hate the new progression system, why remove the free shards you got for getting 500 XP? And why did you make each tier cost 100 instead of 10? Like nobody wanted these changes, the system worked perfectly fine, this is just more generic live-service bullshit that nobody asked for or wanted, bring back the old system it was way better.

Also Houndmaster is bugged again, if you drop off of a high ledge then Snug just stops moving until you walk up to him and do a command, I found this out because I got RCPD as her twice in a row, and then DC'd because I have better things to do then play a bugged killer on the worst maps in the game against pre-runners twice in a row.

Anyways that's my thoughts, overall I like the new content, but hate the UI and Rift changes.
