Was Laurie playing on the moon? I've never seen one so high!

I have regular 60ish ping and it honestly feels like i have 1000ms based on the hits killers get in game.

How does someone even get ping this high?

Happens to me a few times a week. I usually cap out at 1100. One time my game decides to literally go for the moon and I shot to 11,000 ping. I decided to hop in a locker until it blew over but I got permanently trapped in the locker.
NNot Even being pulled out of the locker and being hooked could get me out of the locker.

I don"t see that as often any more. It has happened me a couple times a few years ago. I would be playing somewhere between 30-60ms and then I would randomly just teleport with 500ms +. Nothing really changing on my end so possibly just a network hiccup.

I've had 1k+ pings when the queue is too long and the game sticks me on a different server. Not my choice at all, the match is unplayable for me when that happens.
But yes, I've experienced that ping and occasionally see it on other players.

Inconsistent/bad internet. Ive been there before, at 1000+ ms, many times.
Unfortunately my area only has a single internet provider since they signed an exclusivity deal for the area, but since the contract is going to end soon, some other companies have started to prepare to provide to our area. Overall it kind of sucks right now since the only internet provider we have also charges large prices for very little returns and inconsistent connection.
It also does not help that DBD has really awful netcode and matcmaking, so you can easily get sent to out of region servers. Pair this with awful and/or inconsistent internet, and you have a really bad time.
