Is Freddy a bit overtuned?

What do you guys think? Its been impossible as solo q to even have the chance to win against Freddy. Can we at least have some kind of noise notification when hes holding his slowdown power? Even the hindered effect seems a bit overtuned, its more than double the effect wesker have and really hard to dodge.
As solo q there is always someone giving up.

Any tip to play against Freddys?

Maybe im overreacting and im missing something, Im not saying old Freddy was better to play against, he was kinda like a joke, but this one, man.. I feel hes a bit in the same spot than billy after being reworked and before getting nerfed/balanced.

cheers

I feel balance wise he's fine but he's probably still on the boring side. The only thing I'd personally say could be perceived as a bit of an outlier on his power is being able to teleport to sleeping survivors who are healing. I wouldn't remove it but it does kind of stand out as the odd addition to his reworked power.

Past that he's mostly just boring since you can prevent a lot of his strength by just using clocks which in itself prolong the game a little.

Edit - Regarding comments above - I have faced Freddy about 5-8 times since his rework (from memory). I have not seen him a lot.

I think Freddy is finally in a state where he's really good and at the same time nice to play against, no complaints about the rework he received

I think I’ve only gone against the new Freddy once, so I have no idea. Nobody ever plays him.

He is not that strong, if feel becouse ou saw bhvr kill rate then let me tell you few things. His slowdown isnt that strong little bit easier to hit than pyramids punishment but slows you less than clown. Dream pallets arent that strong his counter is just grab a clock. Only thing from his basekit that makes him better m1 is the teleport thats all.

I don't think he's all that strong, but they certainly made him 100 times more boring. He's essentially just clown that can teleport and has bottles go through walls and with no sort of slowdown for using them.

I always thought that Clown was uninteractive but new Freddy is something else.

Actually undertuned imo. A lot of his mechanics are kinda irrelevant with how overly easy it is to wake up. Like you're realistically never gonna get the chance to teleport to healing survivors.

never won vs him, Rarely won pre rework when he was the weakest killer in the game, imagine now lmao

at least if we go by stats he has a high winrate. on other stat sites also.

From a noob prespective, because it feels like the forum is full of pros. There's several issues playing vs him.

Nr 1 the explosive pallets make looping him hard. You usually reach them and just like a trapper trap you run away but that's distance lost and he easily catches up.

Nr 2 his invisiblity stealth mechanic. This is the number 1 reason. At low survivor skill lvls stealth and instadown perks are overpowered. It does make freddy scary but also makes him get lots of free hits.

Nr 3 The fact he can teleport to a 90% gen.

Nr 4 people still dont know he can tp when you heal so yeah.

That's low skill survivor for you.

Ghostface is op here :) , Even pig lol.

Good Freddy's are usually really good at him, he feels really strong in the right hands when someone has the right build and has amazing macro gameplay. if you can get like lots of injuries and keep the pressure on, his ability to punish healing has to be his strongest feature, as people will need to either wake up then heal, or bluff through the heal and see if he punishes (sometimes wont if he is tunneling). I don't find the pallets threatning but on maps like midwich they are strong, the slow is one of the main reasons I always run vigil rn too.

I feel his macro is very undervalued, and the amount of time wasted from needing to manual wake up between survivors when clocks havn't respawned yet. has great perk synergy and can haste hindered stack.

I do think people are sleeping on him (haha), but DBD's community tends to be stuck in the past when it comes to modern opinions until the content creators finally catch on and make a video, so that doesn't surprise me.

Do I think he is overtuned however? No? Not that I can tell, it could just be his ability to punish saving the one being tunneled inflating kill rates or something.
