So the killer can only destroy corrupted vessels

Why is survivor able to pick them up while they are corrupted? You hook a survivor carrying a vessel, just go to it's spawn point and realise that it's already been picked up by someone else as soon as it was returned..

    In the stream, they said that they did this to increase the competition and make it a little bit more dangerous.

    You know, the lantern is corrupted and going to destroy it but then a survivor comes and picks it up, putting himself in danger.

    IMO, it is not that of a great idea and survivors have lots of time to pick it up before it gets corrupted. For killers, the time frame is not enough. I wish they changed it but it is kind of too late.
