Houndmaster Search
Does anyone kind of do that awkward wiggle when trying to get your dog to go search something in the distance.
I was trying to get him to go look at the farthest gen but for some reason it wasn't locking on so I kind of just jiggled my mouse to get it working, the longest that it took for it to work was 8 seconds. Is there a trick to consistently get it or is it just how it functions.

Here is how the Search mode works: It doesn't.

Yeah its hella inconsistent. If you wanna lock instantly on something, look up slightly and the second the marker appears it should lock on and you insta send search command. For higher stories just aim higher. If you don't wanna lock then just look straight as usual and lower your cam so you don't lock at the max search range

Yeah Houndsense is very wonky for sure. It needs attention. Hopefully soon they will work on her again. She has a lot of bugs right now.

They need to fix this. It's been a problem with her since release. They don't understand that you don't have time to redirect your finger 3+ times 👈👇🫵☝️👆👉 to point the stupid dog to where you want it to go. It should've been a functioning mechanic upon release.

Yeah, it feels so.... stuck, most of the time?
Like, I'm AIMING it at the Exut Gate, not at the gen in front of me! Or, I'm aiming at that gen, how long do I have to point at it for the game to register it?
Also the bugs... just make me feel like this

Dog's POV while I am pointing at the gen for 10 seconds.

Her search is the main reason I don't enjoy the character. It's clunky to use since you have to "charge" the distance up, hard to target gens like you mention, slows you down when you activate it for some reason, dog can get stuck, no way to recall the dog manually, and sometimes when the dog returns it'll follow you without giving you your cooldown back. If they fixed search mode she'd feel so much better to play, chase mode already feels quite good.
