Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

What music do you listen to while you play games (DBD or any other game)?

Any genres you prefer for certain games?

Music/Song suggestions recommended.

I have playlists for some of my Killers, or I'll listen to random stuff on Pandora. I like to listen to metal and rock as Legion, dark brooding blues and smoky jazz as Ghostface, and Pop songs as someone like Nemesis (because funny). I like dark brooding instrumental stuff, grunge, and dark electronica as Dredge.

I don't take the game seriously enough to care about wins, music can hit the spot and even enhance it for me. It's truly something special to be listening to Ice Nine Kills or Ghost or Creature Feature as a Killer to me. Playing Ghostface while Red Right Hand plays in the background is peak.

If I really want to feel like a slasher villain, I sometimes throw on Dark Synthwave - anything that sounds like it belongs in 80's horror or Stranger Things will do. Bands/artists like Perturbator, Le Castle Vania, The Slasher Film Festival Strategy, John Carpenter, Midnight Danger, We Are Magonia, and the like.

As Survivor I have no set style, it's just variety music I already like.

I don't listen to any other music while I play DBD as I don't think I could focus but chill games like Powerwash Simulator or Balatro I have Spotify on Shuffle so things like ERRA, Bad Omens, Linkin Park, Enter Shikari and lots of individual songs

I honestly like listening to pop while playing Nemesis as well lol. I usually play Gwen Stefani or Kesha.

Is it a platform issue or is it a personal issue?

Some platforms like Xbox and PlayStation have integrations with Spotify for music, but Switch (2) and Steam Deck dont (as of now).

PC can just use multiple tabs but it can also hinder performance on lower end PCs (this is more of an issue with laptops, my budget build, priced around 870 USD when I built it in 2024, is able to get 120+ FPS consistently on DBD).

I don't hear music while playing dbd because I need the sound. Outside of that I hear Blutengel a lot at the moment and else I hear electronic music (prefered techno) aswell as slightly depressed music - sometimes also lovesongs.

I guess you can say that I hear a lot of different things xD

I like to listen to the music the games provide me. Unless it's a mobile game, anything else takes me out of the immersion.
