Do YOU still have fun with DBD?
All things considered, even though I complain about some things, I have to admit that DBD is still super funzo and I usually have a good time whenever I queue up >:3
How about YOU?

I play it more than any other game, so yeah, I still have fun playing it.

My favourite part of dbd is consuming other media in anticipation. Reading the Tokyo Ghoul manga while intermittent fasting was fun, now playing fnaf has been an experience. My ticker can't handle binging it so I'm breaking it up with bunny Legion on Greenville

I will cuss and complain about the unfairness of it the whole time, but yes. I do have fun. :)
6 -
Yes.
My main problem with dbd is the loss of the old days. I've made memories on this game that will last a lifetime, but the game that I made them in is just...gone. Dbd isn't anywhere near the same game anymore and it's sad.
However, I do still enjoy what the game has become. I find a lot of the complaints to be massively overblown, too.

As the killer, I do. The game is so catered to me, and I win almost every game I play, regardless of the killer I'm on, so long as I run a functional build. I can even enjoy meme builds depending on how late into the night I play.
On Survivor, you are forced to run some of the strongest builds in the game, and you're still more than likely going to lose, which is doubly so considering I only touch the game's solo queue. The game is balanced around a premade on voice, yet they won't even allow you to coordinate perks with the random players the game has taken less than a minute to pair you with. The game is the most unfun garbage out there, and I recommend the survivor role to nobody.6 -
I used to love playing underdogs, but BHVR is hellbent on making them as unfun and frustrating as possible. That being said, playing solo queue survivor is still a load of fun.

Yeah tbh when I'm not getting bullied it's really fun. When I get bullies on the other side (be it survivor or killer) it's a whole different story. But when I don't and people are playing normally? It's lots of fun.

Great answers, so far >:3

As killer, yes. Basically every time.
As survivor… ehhh. Has way higher highs than killer, but way lower lows.
As killer I can boot up the game, pick a killer I feel like playing, generally have a good time.
As survivor, it kinds feels like gambling. You keep hitting that queue button and you keep getting crap game after crap game. But then you get that one good game, where the killer is playing in a fun way and all your team mates are trying, and it's a crazy dopamine hit.

In moderation.

I don’t play it as long as I used to since I have some opinions on some of the newer stuff added like some perks, however when I do play it I have fun
2 -
I do have fun yes. I play frequently. I have more fun when I am whooping that @ss than when I am survivor getting stabbed all the time lol.
3 -
I don’t play the game that frequently anymore but it’s definitely more fun from a balance standpoint
noobs wouldn’t be able to handle the way certain maps were like back in 2019 and 20205 -
I've been miserable the past month, and the past week has been even worse.
5 -
I wish I still had fun; this game was a staple of my chill out time for years. Unfortunately, now it's just something I play a few matches a month, get upset and tell myself I should probably just uninstall for good.
3 -
Eh not as much anymore. Used to play a lot of blight but the constant collision changes. Singularity became so easy since they made soma family photo basekit, removed a bunch of little slinger spots you could shoot through and the awful trickster "rework"
5 -
Most of the time, yes!
I've eased up on how much I play this patch just whilst i wait for deathslinger's bugs to get ironed out but yeah, game fun ^-^
1 -
Absolutely.
If anything I feel like my experience has only gotten better as time's went on as the frustrations get ironed out more and more.
There'll always be rough games, some busted stuff here and there but end of the day DBD is DBD there's nothing else like it tbh.

I barely play anymore so not really. Late last year is really the last time I played the game consistently. These days I will play the game maybe once a week if not less. I don't even want any extreme changes. Just do something about the more broken aspects of the game and fix the matchmaking. Then it'd be much more enjoyable for me.
3 -
I do, otherwise I would not do it.
But I do get burned out and start to not have fun and I find myself going next or rage quitting, so at that point I will stop playing altogether and take weeks/months off the game. Once I am ruining matches for others and getting tilted, it is time to walk away.
Some days can be rough though and back to back matches are awful… but then you have those few matches where the stars align and you play perfectly, the map RNG is great and your team are all high IQ gamers. Those matches (and a HUGE dose of nostalgia) keep me playing

Depends on the time.
I didn't have much fun playing around Kaneki's release. I would face only that one busted character.
Now after nerfing that killer and him becoming less frequent it's better for a survivior side.
Waiting time on the killer around that time made me only play survivior, on top of the bloodmoon event. Everyone seemed to play the killer back then.
Now queue times for killer are really fast again, so I let myself play a lot of killer lately and it's fun.
Trying out new builds, new killers that I wouldn't touch before like Vecna, Pig, Dredge, Unknown.

As killer, yes.
As survivor, no.

No, I don't. I've actually taken a break from playing the game. I found myself playing it just for the sake of it cause it was easy to jump into. I've actually found myself going back to games I've enjoyed before and trying to complete a backlog of games I haven't played yet.
I haven't played the game in about a month now. Every time I think I want to re-install I just watch my partner play and it reminds me of why I took a break.

When i get a killer that's actually my MMR/skill level i have fun. But majority of the time i get killers who are like 15k hours in and play like their entire families lives depend on the 4k. And i also have fun when i get teammates that match my MMR as well, but again… majority of the time my teammates suck.

It's not much better on Killer side I'm afraid. I have fun when I get a team that's evenly matched, but sometimes I get babies who don't know how to handle my Killer, or super strong teams coordinating, or people who just came to make my round as frustrating as possible assuming I'm a baby Killer, and then it's not fun - it's boring.

I am the literal opposite, killer stressed me out too much and after years of trying to enjoy it I just cant, so I stopped playing killer almost completely.

Sometimes, but I rarely play this game. If I played it more often it wouldn't go well.
The funny thing tho is that it really helps in distracting me from worse cra*p. If I'm lacking copes at certain times and feel bad I can always hop on dbd for virtual self harm.

It can be a bit much sometimes, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't cherish the time I've spent with this game.

9 years in and I can say that I'm not as involved as I was in my prime, but it's still entertaining enough to come back to. Especially since this is the only "killer vs. Survivor" game that can withstand the rest of time. Tcm being cancelled officially has shown that this game is really hard to beat and will definitely need something very forward thinking and intuitive to knock it off it's pedestal.

Yes and no. It's still one of my all time favourite games, but I find I need to be in the right mood to play or else something will happen that will make me grumpy.
Besides a few small hiccups, I genuinely think operation health is going really well. I think it will be in a pretty good place for new players by the time the next chapter drops.

No. Absolutely not. Well actually survivor is ok because I play games for entertainment purposes and just want to sit back and relax. This is achievable on the survivor side. But as a killer? Lol I would rather jump from a roof head first. Playing casually my favorite killers against 4 syringes, sprint burst/dead hards and other annoying perks with SWF comms and strategies? It is insanity. If you still do this and you are not a streamer who makes money out of it, I feel sorry for you. Period.
-2 -
Idk what game you play, but survivor for me is absolutely miserable.

Sitting on a gen pressing button is not miserable for me. But we all have our own preferences. Ofc the randoms can get somewhat annoying but naaah rather play solo Q with randoms than as a killer against SWF.
0 -
Getting a SWF as killer isn't as common as everyone makes it out to be, Scott Jund did a video talking about this & from my own personal experience he is correct. Solo Q is currently the most miserable way to play the game as of right now, a lot of people here like to claim that almost every match they get as killer is against a 4 man bully squad and it's so cringe & wildly untrue.
0 -
Never claimed my every game is against SWF bully squads. But that is the thing that ruins the game for me. Like I said, we all have our preferences. And I actually don't care what content creators say about things that are currently going on in the game. At least to a point where it would define how I should feel about the game. I don't like to see SWF bully squads, never have and never will. Even for a one game out of 10 other games.
