Please Don't Allow Players To See Who Brought Which Offerings
I haven't played since the bloodmoon and thought the Twitter posts from the PTB were trolling and joking but I guess you can see on the menu exactly who brought what now.
This is a recipe for toxicity that we do not need more of, especially with the go next epidemic.
A killer can easily target an individual for bringing a map offering and Survivors can refuse to unhook their teammates who brought the hatch offering.
I can think of more problems, but I think we all get the idea.
Please revert this.

Well, outcome will be less map offerings, so I see that as an absolute win…

I'd rather they just be retired altogether.

This is great honestly, now I can tunnel the right person who brought RPD

A killer can easily target an individual for bringing a map offering
I mean, if you don't want a Killer's emnity, you could just not take them to Eyrie of Crows. Or run in a SWF and play x4 map offerings (which people will probably be doing after the upcoming nerf) so you're all equally guilty.
Survivors can refuse to unhook their teammates who brought the hatch offering
I'm probably missing something here, because idk why a Survivor would do this. Hatch offerings give everyone the same information, and as long as everyone remembered which hatch offering was brought, the incentive structure for a Survivor to let someone die and hope for a hatch escape is the same.
It's also worth saying that IMO this hasn't encouraged toxicity anymore than elements like sandbagging, altruism, successful rescues, or whatever already does and has always done, at least in my experience. A Killer who decides to ruin the day of someone who brought them to RPD probably wasn't going to be very kind in their game otherwise either, they would've found some other reason to proxy camp someone.

The devs stated stacking won't work (will not increase map chance beyond 20% period)
If a Survivor has a hatch offering in my games, they are usually playing for hatch from the beginning in my experience. If they also brought a 🔑 then they usually are.
I have died and spectated so Many matches where a survivor walked around the map just waiting for teammates to die.
Anyway, I just think it only brings the potential for problems with zero benefit to the overall game.
Thank you for your feedback though 🙏
I appreciate hearing everyones opinions.

true, less BP wasted…
-2 -
Just do whatever. Don't allow yourself to be gatekept. Enough of that as it is.

💯 Agree

or maybe just use a bp offering

Lol, you want to bring a map offering to stack the odds in your favor, you can deal with the target on your back for doing it.

It's a good change. Should not be reverted.

I put up a Coldwind offering once when I got several indoor maps in a row (randomly) to break that bad luck up. The Scratch Mirror Myers did not appreciate it one bit. It goes both ways, and is why they're being changed.
And yes I'm aware it's much more often survs put up these offerings.

They're being changed? As in nobody will know who brought which offering until post-game?
I just want to be sure I'm Interpreting this correctly and did devs confirm it?

They're changing the % for the map offerings, that's what I'm referring to
0 -
I think they also wanted to make them into Secret offerings alongside nerfing the percentages.
Edit: They do. It's in the QOL Initiative post.

I want the option to turn map offerings into BP. So many unused offerings I wanna convert.
BP offerings should be universal to every character.0 -
There's an easy fix to this. Don't bring map offerings like Gideon / Eyrie / Toba Landing / etc and you won't get tunneled for map offerings. There's no other offering that would cause tunnelling for. "But I want to bring a map offering that gives me an advantage" then you have an advantageous map to get tunneled on… I don't get the problem
-5 -
That's not a fix, there's other considerations that I care about far more than maps.
For example, If the Killer wants to be toxic to the person who brought an Escape Cake, they can tunnel them just to be toxic, ensuring they get virtually no bloodpoints.
On the flip side, other killers can now decide they may spare or treat better players that brought Bloody Partystreamers as the killer is benefiting from the offering.
I have two other scenarios but I'm in a rush at the moment.
In my opinion, map offerings should be retired and players compensated with bloodpoints.
With that being said, it is ridiculous that a Survivor should have to worry about using map offerings they spent their bloodpoints on.
The fix is to revert the change. It invites targeting and provides absolutely nothing but an invitation for toxicity which we don't need any more of.

first of all, if a survivor gets tunneled out because they brought an escape cake cuz the killer wanted to be toxic, that is a player attitude problem and can't be changed no matter what you do. This also ties in if the killer wants to give a survivor "special treatment" for bringing a group BP offering
"it is ridiculous that a Survivor should have to worry about using map offerings they spent their bloodpoints on" WHAT?! Are you REALLY worried that people are wasting their bloodpoints on something they don't actually get to use or have? I don't see people complaining about "I spent bloodpoints on the Fog Thickening reagents but I don't use them and I demand refunds"
THIS IS A FRICKEN GAME, no one is actually getting hurt or oppressed being tunneled or camped and no one has any rights in this game EXCEPT to be free of targeted harassment and death threats and tunnelling isn't that

I don't think you understand what I'm trying to say or perhaps I didn't explain my concerns well enough based on your comment, but I'm not going to argue with you either.
I think we agree on most things you said. For example, "THIS IS A FRICKEN GAME, no one is actually getting hurt or oppressed being tunneled or camped and no one has any rights in this game EXCEPT to be free of targeted harassment and death threats and tunnelling isn't that."
I'm with you 💯 there, my friend.
I'm sorry if my comment upset you.
No hard feelings ✌️

Hmm, this thread makes me want to try an experiment. I happen to be off work all this week (but I still need to get my PC out of the shop). Maybe I'll try playing 20 matches while bringing a map offering, and then 20 more matches with a Bloody Party Streamer offering and see how I get treated.

I think it's time to retire map offerings
0 -
Yup yup, only evil will come from this change. 😕

Map offerings are more often brought for 2 reasons: for duos/trios/swfs to have an advantage over the killer, or to outright grief/bully the killer. This being the case it's the killer's prerogative to play as they please when they see map offerings, if they suspect a sweaty/bully playstyle then you can't blame them when they respond in kind.
