2v8 Ghostface is nerfed?
Apparently they badly nerfed ghost face exposed in 2v8 -50% duration an already weak killer and they gave him miniscule buffs to compensate and didn't give him any reveal resistance.

Yes lol. Giga buff Oni but nerf Ghostface of course

Honestly why does it matter its 2v8 if you dont down your target you will be revealed by someone else.

at least he can move really quick with fearmongerer + Night Shroud to make him 130 percent (I think?)
4 -
I mean he seems fine to me… did we honestly think he was going to become A tier in 2v8?
6 -
From the few games I was able to play as him he actually seems to be a great support character since his exposed applies to his teammate as well, and them hitting some one doesnt reset the marked progress

After a few more rounds I think I can confidently say if you are good at M1 Killer, good at Stealth and like support, he's probably one of the better Killers in 2v8. He actually pairs with several Killers really well and he feels really, really good in this mode. He's excellent at support, when he is Revealed it gives the other Killer info, and his Exposed is quite useful for both Killers. I don't even see the downside of the 30 second Mark timer, it feels fair from both sides to me because 2v8 is faster paced, so a 30 second Exposed just makes sense here. He's a great pick for the mode! Fearmonger is definitely what you should run on him, or maybe Enforcer.
I actually think some of the haste in Shroud (but obviously not 10%) ought to come to 1v4 as a buff for him, it helps a lot and I hope this is a test run for that.
Anyone complaining he got nerfed realistically probably just wants a powerhouse Killer that can dominate on their own every round, like Blight or Nurse. Who are both in 2v8, sooooo…

might be just me, but playing Ghosty, I just get revealed the moment I activate power. 8 people running around means 4 more people that can reveal you.
Combine that with no buff to staying in power whatsoever and it made me an m1 all match.

Ghost Face 4vs1 »> Ghost Face 8vs2 (WORST KILLER IN DBD) I will never understand why they don't make this Base or Semi-Base addon with 5%...

Despise 2v8 game mode and wait times.
It's either killer sided or survivor sided
Last game i played survivors were t-bagging at exit like playing with 7 teammates and escaping is a marvellous fantastic piece of skill.
And before you wet your pants some killers are toxic too.
I've never played this mode since.
Not surprised they nerfd ghostface. They haven't a clue how to run this mode without changing aspects of killer strengths.
He's actually one of my favourite killers to play but not enough to be tempted to play this mess.
If you enjoy it fair enough but I know others like me hate it and we'll see you on the other side.

Ghostface is a terrible choice for solo q 2v8, because solo q killers can't choose what killer their teammate is playing, and their teammate might be playing a killer that wants to damage survivors with a non-basic attack. This is especially true because Oni is the other new 2v8 killer, and he gets to be in blood fury mode A LOT in 2v8, and therefore doesn't get a lot of value from the exposed status. In fact, Oni players would prefer if their teammate didn't 1 shot the survivors, because injured survivors drop lots of blood orbs.
And Ghostface has terrible map mobility, and a stealth mechanic that gets worse when the number of survivors increases.
And if anyone's like "he's still good". Just remember that "good" isn't good, when we have hyper aggressive killers like Legion and Oni, that bring way more value to their teammates.

Just run Fearmonger, it fixes literally all those issues except for the Reveal thing.

Those people who say Ghost Face is good are either Main Survis or people who don't play him. All the Killers received buffs, and Ghost Face was the only one who got nerfed.
Then they're the same ones who complain that we see too much Billy/Oni/Legion/Blight...
-4 -
No. If I was running solo q killer in 2v8, I would never ever want Ghostface as the teammate, regardless if they picked Fearmonger.
Seeing a Ghostface killer teammate is massively disappointing, and just ruins the vibes of the entire game. I waited through a massive killer queue time, just to be disappointed before the game has even started?
The entire game, I would just imagine how much better everything would be if my teammate picked someone more useful like Billy/Oni/Legion/Blight.

Or they're people who do play him. He got three noticeable buffs that pair well with the fearmonger class, and the exposed duration "nerf" isn't noticeable at all. You need to kill quickly in 2v8, and he's one of the better killers at doing so if you're a decent M1 killer. With how fast you can expose survivors and also make them exposed for your partner, it would be ridiculous if you could just expose a group of survivors forever.
His buffs are far better than what they gave Trapper, Nemesis, and Slinger.

You're not doing 2v8 right if you're sweating every game and looking for maximum efficiency.
-1 -
why didn't they get rid of his reveal until he attacked? since he can be observed from too many angles too easily
-1 -
Sorry you have bad Ghostfaces on your team in 2v8. I've been destroying as him, and all the ones I've been getting have been excellent teammates that have helped a lot. Turns out the chaos of 2v8 makes it way easier for him to hide and stalk in, and if he's good at Marking you can even get some extra exposed downs.
He's fine. I'm sorry the people you have played with cannot play him properly. But he's fine. He wasn't nerfed.-1 -
That's actually not been my experience with him. Also did you know? Him being revealed can be seen by the other Killer. It's free info!
-2 -
He's a secondary for me and I do not play him that often, but I will say this - I can tell when the Ghostface in question actually mains him or plays him seriously, because they're stellar at getting quick downs especially in this mode. I don't think I have seen an Exposed timer get outrun in this mode yet, actually, even at just 30 seconds.
I can see though why it may be difficult in SoloQ with Ghostface, as quality of teammates vary. But going in with a friend and a plan, he's perfectly fine.-1 -
Edit: Nope. I'm not having this conversation.

This snipe about my perceived lack of skill was super unnecessary and added nothing to this conversation whatsoever. How do you know I'm not a good Survivor just because I personally struggle with this one niche mechanic that isn't even needed to beat the game? Are you seriously saying there is nowhere YOU are weak at as Survivor? At all? I find that very hard to believe, nobody is a god.
I have been playing DBD since 2017. I have never been good at blinds. I am still winning 40-45% of my games as Survivor with my SWF just fine because I'm good enough at Looping, doing gens, and keeping my team going to compensate, proving you don't need to be good at blinds to be a good Survivor. They have literally no bearing on the game or on MMR whatsoever, and aren't even more effective than a simple pallet stun which takes a lot more skill IMHO to set up and pull off, and which is much less obvious. Don't be ridiculous.
Besides, I don't need strong reflexes with a flashlight at any MMR to avoid a flashlight blind as a Killer, my guy, I've never had an issue as any M1 Killer avoiding them. We both know you can have a weak Surv MMR, but a strong Killer MMR and it varies between Killers too, so what even is this claim?
If you're seriously getting Killers, even M1 Killers, who can't avoid a simple flashlight blind, maybe it's your MMR that is low? Perhaps you do not play enough Killer, and thus are getting bad Ghostfaces as partners as a result? I'd hate to presume your skill at the game as you just did mine…Post edited by LockerLurk on-1 -
i only played as him or when i played with him i didn't get that information

How? I could see it when I was playing with my friend as they were Ghostie. It should give Killer Instinct.
Playing as him in any mode, if you are Revealed, you get Killer instinct on the revealer. That's info.
-1 -
Yeah he's a chase monster you can just pop night shroud during chase to get 10% haste and it lingers and the cooldowns is so short you never have to worry about it
Kinda defeats the purpose of power though
-1 -
hot take: 2v8 Ghostface is better than 1v4 one, tho he is still weak in 8 survivors environment.
I think these changes would be very good to add to 1v4 basekit of Ghostface, even reduced Exposed timer. Why? Because reduced Exposed timer with all these changes will actually encourage people to play Ghostface the way he is actually supposed to play, stalk, mark, ambush, and not the well known Chaseface playstyle.

His power in 2v8 is pretty much the Clown at the home
-2 -
clown but he has a soda hat of haste bottles
1 -
I honestly think anyone calling this Killer weak and powerless in either mode simply is not very good at his style of gameplay, and that's fine. Most people prefer a chasedown style or to spam an M2 power these days. It's understandable. He's an old Killer from an older style of DBD. Not everyone has patience for that anymore.
-3 -
Ghost Face needs to recover from cooldown faster and stalk faster too.
And if possible, this base/semi-base addon is complicated when everyone has sprint.
0 -
Including game itself, everything is vastly faster and many killers literally can't keep up
And then, 2v8 is a lot faster than 1v4 too
1 -
He already does both of those in this mode. Basically, the haste in Shroud IS free Drop-Leg on demand with a button press, making it better than Drop-Leg. You can literally play him like Wraith but with instant down in this mode.
How is that not strong if Wraith is apparently strong in the mode?

As proof, here's me carrying my partner, otherwise decent Killers and often playing stronger Killers, against decent to good teams in 2v8. Multiple times.
4k 4 out, notice I got significantly more hooks than my friend, a decent Killer, as Nemesis. This was an 8 stack. A really good 8 stack. We tied. But OK, Nemesis is not the best in this mode nor is this the best pairing of Killers, so let's see other proof.
Me and another friend as Billy. This was a 7k. Notice I once again kept up with once again, a decent set of Survivors who could loop and do gens well, as Ghostface who is supposedly "a weak Killer" in this mode. Simply with his basekit. Billy is not considered weak in this mode, but somehow Ghostface is when he's keeping up with a good Billy against good Survivors?
Perhaps you need more proof? OK.
Me and a random Wesker who was pretty damn good. No comms. Decent team. Very well coordinated. I still kept up as Ghostface. This was an 8k. He was running a fun class, not a serious class for Wesker. Wesker not only has a glitch as a disadvantage right now, he's also generally seen as strong in this mode. Our hook count is still even, against a decent team, on a map that is arguably Survivor sided. Huh, almost as though… Ghostface is not weak in 2v8.
Me carrying my friend AGAIN, him as Legion, who is considered stronger in this mode. He admittedly could have played better. I am playing on a map that isn't good for Ghostface, in a dark visible cosmetic, and still carrying a stronger Killer than mine against Survivors that know to spread pressure, how to loop, and generally are decent at the game. Good Survivors. 8 of them to be precise. We 7ked, mostly because one of them found hatch. I got the Mori.
Ghostface is fine in 2v8. But because he's been so weak in 1v4 for so long, and because according to this community M1s can apparently never be good and MUST always be considered weak despite evidence given to the contrary, you will all downvote, you will find some way to refute this, and you will disagree the actual physical proof in front of your eyes that this Killer is fine in 2v8 and actually, one of the better picks. As predicted.

bad survis
-1 -
Respectfully, you do not know my MMR, the calibre of Survivors I get, or my lobbies and CANNOT make this point in good faith.
Please stop. It's embarrassing.
Everyone so eager to jump onto the "M1 Killer Bad" bandwagon despite evidence to the contrary, because they need it to be true to keep the good ol' status quo… Of course when I post proof that he is NOT weak in the mode, over multiple rounds, where I got decent Survivors each time… crickets.
As expected.
