Unpopular opinion about 2v8
Having 2 bots per lobby was helpful with queue time for killer like yeah I know it sucked for survivor but I mean I would rather just get into a lobby quickly then sit around do all my house chores and maybe write twenty novels and still see that I'm still looking for a lobby. Having the bots sucked but waiting for a single lobby is horrendous so I think new name for 2v8 is just Dead by daylight 2v8 waiting modifier. Listen just....brings the bots back even if it's just one it sucks but I would rather have a better chance of getting lobby rather then waiting for match.

That will just push real survivors away from the mode. We saw that in re 2v8. Even with 2 bots queues weren't significantly better, because the time saved by introducing bots is nullified by the even smaller survivor pool.

The devs released their stats during the last 2v8 that showed queues were longer when they included the bots. They were longer by about 2 minutes. The bots just drove real players away.

There has to be a way to make killer in 2v8 bearable for queue time since I don't think people really like waiting 30 minutes for a single match. Like if it because "Hey a lot of people are playing this killer" having it where it points a shorter queue time with this killer so if people are playing Oni a lot and not let's say Wesker maybe a small icon that shows a short queue time because hey not many people searching for a lobby with this character selected.

I will say, the bots have often proven to at least be decent on gens as they don't hide on the opposite corner of the map when killers are both in chase with other survivors. Something I see randoms do disturbingly often
But starting out with bots by default? No thanks, it is already bad enough with Legion/Oni and Oni constantly in power most matches. Last thing we want is yet another potential disadvantage right off the bat

We had 4 people in a cage earlier, I was one of them, my first hook.
Two of the remaining survivors in chase, one dead.
Which left just one single survivor.
Who decided the best thing they could do with their time is self-care against Legion, then slowly walk to a generator and begin working on it.
That was also the last time anyone touched a generator besides me in that match. (we did get out of that situation because Legion pivoted to the one on the generator which let the person they were chasing unhook)
I want the bots back.

One idea I've seen tossed around is in order to play killer in 2v8 you have to play two rounds or so of surv first, say at least 6 minutes or something around that. Rats might be a problem, but always are.
The bots aren't the answer, the game should be actual players primarily. Imo asking for the bots again is disregarding match quality just to help with queue times.

Having bots in 2v8 made the killer queues even worse because nobody wanted to touch survivor with a 10 foot pole. BHVR learned from that mistake quickly. Now it’s a whole different issue keeping survivors away from 2v8 (busted AF Oni/Legion combo that shows up in 90% of matches).
