Can we gain/lose mmr in 2v8?

so I have + 5600 hours on the game but some of my friends want to try the game with me.
I know if we play regular 1v4, it won't really be fun for them cause the killers will be from my mmr.

so just wondering, is there mmr in 2v8? Also, can we lose/win mmr in 2v8?
