Not really much of a point is there?
30 minute killer queue for a 5 minute match? There's absolutely no point in participating in the event or regular play as what's the point. Once again the ball has been dropped and killers are AGAIN paying for it. DBD is no longer the hide and seek game it used to be , but instead outright pursuit and be angry.

Starting to think they should just artificially inflate the matches

DBD is no longer the hide and seek game it used to be
I think that should be obvious, since the "anti hiding" as a core mechanic is on the road map for sometime in the next month or two.

Lobby times for Killer and the Game Not being Hide-and-Seek anymore are two completely different topics though?
The majority of the community (both Killer and survivor side) don’t want hide-and-seek to be part of this game…
And lobby times are as bad because people really like the idea to play killer in a team/duo - next 2v8 iteration wil hopefully introduce working features to reduce Lobby times without making the matches more frustrating for killers

Lobby times in 2v8 for killer has nothing to do with anything other than too many people want to play killer, and not enough people wanting to play survivor
Obvious reasons why as well. One side is considerably more fun, engaging, and new. And the other side has no difference compared to regular mode. And you will now just be slugged in most Oni matches so there REALLY is no point.16 -
Oh no it's both sides of the game at this point. 30 minutes regular too

This will sadly not change unless BHVR decides to make 2v8 fun and interesting for Survivor. But you can already train your patience, when FNAF comes out the queue times will be roughly as bad as they are now in 2v8.

"Once again the ball has been dropped and killers are AGAIN paying for it." - It's kind of ironic when survivors had to suffer with Kaneki for weeks, and now they suffer with Legion and Oni (in 2v8). I dislike queue times as much as the next person but let's not act like one side is more of a victim than the other, both go through phases of "paying for it" at some point.

They need to prevent certain killer pairings that make players not want to play. Not being able to pick both ONI and Legioin on the same match would improve things. I waited 30 minutes for a match and then the surviors just stopped trying when they saw this pairing.

Some "anti hiding" has been added in game for many years the crows.

You are actually complaining about a killer sided game and when they split game modes finally realize no one wants to play survivor? It’s common sense you need more survivors than killers but the wait times prove no one wants to play survivor and most are only playing for the 300 bonus. If it wasn’t for the bonus I don’t think very many would play 2v8 this time. Oni and Legion being one but it seems aura reading is constant. Not only that we spend more time slugged than anything

the 2v8 killer role just feels to stressful so i just been playing survivor as its way more chill

>Killer queue times insanely high because everyone wants to play killer with their friends and almost nobody wants to suffer through getting double-teamed by Oni and Legion as Survivor
>Killers somehow the ones most negatively affected according to OP
You can't make up this level of tone deaf

The objectives have always been the biggest drag on the game. Everything incites to rush the match as quickly a possible, no matter the side you are playing, and that doesn't end up being fun. You can't have a good chase, the killer must focus on the weaker targets and the survivors must focus on repairing…
You have little interaction and the powers that should make the survivor role more attractive only manage to avoid the attention of the killer. You can erase your marks, you can throw a smoke grenade or you can sprint, but you will only get the killer to go and play with someone else. How is being ignored fun from the survivor perspective?
They have tried to make the 2v8 more attractive by making it easier to escape with the “Win = Fun” formula. But it feels as bland as the Lights Out modifier, where the killer usually won effortlessly surprising the survivors without giving them a chance.

While I do think DBD shouldn't have moved away from its hide and seek aspect, I am not sure what does it have to do with queue times.
