Why are killers doing this?
Went against a killer today they unfortunately got an opportunity to block me in. They chose to do so (everyone else is dead btw) & just held me there for like 10mins.
A similar thing happened a few times the other day too, not blocking me but just leaving a survivor blocked in the corner so they couldn't play.
Why is this happening so much at the moment?

There are proper ways to report someone if you think they're breaking the rules. This isn't one of them.

Did report them. They were breaking the rules too. I have the evidence. 10mins of me being held hostage in a corner.

Well you see you can hide & usually a good way to do that if not in a locker is by crouching, I got blocked in & they just held me there. That's how. You act like that just shouldn't ever happen. I didn't intend for it.

Well.. there are many players (people in general) that are so miserable that they get enjoyment out of making other people miserable. Often they disguise it but sometimes they are very blatant about it (like your example with Holding the game hostage)
Sadly currently the Game enables This behaviour though the devs have stated they will implement features that will make it harder to accomplish (or not at all without hacking) - eg losing collision when being idle for some time.

Yeah I know it's been mentioned. I more asked because it's happened a few times recently when I found it a LOT more rare before, is it like people want to do it as much as possible before it goes away? XD

I think hiding in a corner is not that uncommon. If you dont want to get found and there is no locker nearby, hiding in some corner (e.g. the small part of a long wall-Tile where Totems sometimes spawn) is not the worst idea. Just sucks if a Killer (or another Survivor) decides to be very unfun.

this is a reportable issue, but at the same time it’s absolutely inexcusable that BHVR hasn’t done anything to prevent it. Removing collision with other players after x amount of time would be incredibly easy. One of the most infuriating things about this game is BHVR’s years-long failure to address easily-fixable issues like body-block griefing and ratting. Rather than BHVR spending a few hours to permanently fix these issues, they make it a giant burden for players to individually report for a chance that maybe the offender will be punished.

It's definitely well overdue, but they are addressing it in phase 2 of the QOL changes. It's the anti-bodyblocking update.
