8.7.2 | Bugfix Patch
EDIT: Today, June 2, 2025, we deployed a small bugfix patch (8.7.2a) to address the following issue:
Characters
- Fixed an issue that caused the hair of Sable's Sudden Shading and Vittorio's Geralt of Rivia head cosmetics to appear black or darker in various map lightings.
Please note: This update is currently available on PC and Xbox platforms. Nintendo Switch and PlayStation owners will receive this fix as part of the next title update. Crossplay will continue to function as normal.
Features
Abandon Option
- Changed the match outcome for the following scenario to count as a loss for the Survivor (was a draw):
- Survivor abandons the match while all remaining Survivors are in the Dying state.
Bug Fixes
2V8
- Fixed an issue where loud noise notification bubbles were displayed to Killers when Survivors affected by the Silent Rush Bonus performed a rushed action.
- Fixed an issue where Survivors had no struggle animation when interrupted by The Deathslinger's harpoon while another Survivor is applying the Vaccine or Spray to them.
- Fixed an issue where The Oni did not lose charges from his power when downing a Survivor while in Blood Fury state.
- Fixed an issue in the Wretched Shop (2v8) map, where tires appeared to be floating.
- Fixed an issue in the Shelter Woods (2v8) map, where grass appeared to be floating.
Audio
- Fixed an issue where the incorrect sound effects played when walking on some metal stairs in The Game map.
- Fixed an issue where The Oni's cleaning weapon sound effects were out of sync with the animation.
Characters
- Fixed an issue that caused Survivors to get stuck inside pallets when interrupted by The Ghoul's Kagune Leap attack.
- Fixed an issue where The Ghoul could launch himself at a faster speed after using his second dash immediately after the first one.
- Tentatively fixed an issue where Survivors were temporarily stuck in an animation while dropping a pallet during The Ghoul's grab-attack.
- Fixed an issue where Survivors could be prevented from performing most interactions if The Ghoul was stunned at the same time as the Kagune Leap hit the Survivor.
- Fixed an issue where The Demogorgon could become invisible after traversing through a Portal.
- Fixed an issue that caused Killer Instinct to be missing when The Artist launched a crow through a locker with a Survivor hiding inside.
- Fixed an issue that caused The Nemesis' Tentacle Strike to pass through certain walls and objects.
Environment/Maps
- Fixed an issue in The Underground Complex map where a hook would spawn in front of a door.
- Fixed an issue in the Azarov's Resting Place map where a character would clip through the top of lockers when exiting.
- Fixed an issue in The Temple of Purgation map where characters would clip through the top of lockers when exiting.
- Fixed an issue in the Father Campbell's Chapel map where Killers could land on top of a pallet.
- Fixed an issue in the Dead Dawg Saloon map that caused flickering on the ground texture.
- Fixed an issue in the Mount Ormond Resort map that caused a seam on the floor of the Main Building to appear.
- Fixed an issue where the player was able to walk out of bounds through the Exit Gates while using a Gamepad.
Perks
- Fixed an issue where the Entity blocker was not seen in the generator aura caused by Deja Vu.
- Fixed an issue where Camaraderie could be reactivated by Survivors after it deactivated.
Quests
- Fixed an issue which caused "Earn Bloodpoints" quests to not progress after abandoning a Trial as a Survivor.
- Fixed an issue with the 2v8 "Kill Survivors" quest where it would not progress when Survivors were sacrificed in cages.
- Fixed an issue where players could not complete the "Mad Skills" challenge.
UI
- Fixed a crash which occurred when previewing certain rewards in the Rift Pass.
- Improved stability when moving between menus.
- Fixed a crash which occurred when displaying a large quantity of completed quests.
- Fixed an issue where the Pin/Unpin Quest sound effect was missing.
- Fixed an issue where the Gamepad cursor on PC would disappear and be replaced by the PC mouse cursor when going into the Quests menu.
- Fixed an issue where the infinity sign was missing from the reward alert when tiering up to infinite tier in the Rift Pass.

what about wesker getting stuck for the entire match with his M2. The only way to leave is to quit and get an abandon penalty.

update looks good, but the 4% bit I get some people do it just to go next, but what about if everyone on the floor and you need that 4% to try and get the off to help the team? And have to use up a spot for a perk just for it, is abit disappointing imo! There probably not a way to keep that and find another way? Only time I really do use tbh is if k is slugging and everyone is downed and I try to see if I can unhook to help!
I never dc even if I get camped, tunnelled I just finish the game and move on and try better next and so on

It's actually surprising and concerning that the word "Nurse" is not present even a single time in this post considering the absurd amount of bugs with the killer right now.

This is something that the team is aware of and investigating, but a fix is not included in this bugfix patch

Can you fix sadako‘s bugs please? Whenever I submit anything in the bug report section it stays only under review and never gets closed or fixed.

It's nice to see one Artist bug got patched - according to the list. But she has still so many bugs that makes her awful to play. I know you told me that there is not a guarantee that the issues get fixed with this patch but are there ant plans for a third hotfix or do we have to wait for the Fnaf Chapter in terms of more bug fixes?

Houndmaster still has multiple bugs, one of which disables Houndsense conpletely.
And there is also Plague with her audio bug where she makes the power canceling sound even when using it normally.

does that audio fix fixes the acoustics effects that are missing in the lower floor of the game map also?

you just answered your own question, it literally brings a possibility to let RNG decide further flow of the match when all other survivors are downed

I do not see Orela Rose missing unique lobby theme bug in the fixes?

Can you fix Huntress when throwing axe dosent make dmg, even you can hear sound and see blood? Happened 100 times atleast in 2 vs 8 mode.

Sad to still see no fix for Hex: Face the Darkness. For some reason recently dead survivors continue to scream as if they were alive. Been happening since like 2023.

Hey, the Houndmaster also has the same issue artist had. When A survivor is found via killer instinct wirh Snubs, the mark does not show up. You can hear it but you can’t see it.

Was changing the match out that much of an issue to warrant a change? It's not like there is anywhere in the Menus where I can see how much I Win/Lose/Draw. It's so petty honestly. And the Devs take feedback way too much to heart on the lamest issues just to appease.

In a surprise to no one, since they "fixed" issues with quests I am now having a lot of trouble viewing quests on PS4. It stalls out instead of loading the menu or quests. Or it loads the menu but shows an error instead of the quests. I finally got it all to load properly by just trying over and over again, but I never experienced these issues even once before.

yes good job devs, keep ignoring all the old game breaking bugs that everyone complains about and add new irrelevant #########. Atp might as well just disable the nurse and some other bugged killers till you eventually decide it's important to fix game ruining bugs.

4% should have never been a thing to begin with. Why should a survivor be randomly rewarded and screwing over the killer?

what about running Forever Entwined on Wesker and as long as the killer picks up people with his power instead of off the ground all of his action speeds are permanently increased?

So when are you guys going to fix the Wesker in 2v8 bug? Every time I get paired with one, I worry it's going to happen again. It's a 1 in 4 chance it will happen. Please fix it.

It's a good question. We do not have plans to share a third hotfix for this update.

does the team have any plans on introducing a 3rd hotfix in between releases? There’s so many long standing and newly introduced bugs that pile up every update and I’m sure a 3rd hotfix would help a lot with the bugs that get introduced on big and major updates.
