Old chapters are inevitably pushed aside

Whether it's original or licensed chapters, they're mostly neglected or postponed for the sake of focusing on new chapters to make money. Of course they have to make money but it feels so wrong when you want to dedicate a killer only for that killer to be made obsolete by another killer. I mean why would you play Wraith when you play Dracula? He has so much to give and Dracula is much better than Wraith.

In fact, why would anyone want to play another killer when Nurse and Blight exist? It's like they made Nurse on purpose just to create an excuse that no matter what killer they make, nobody will be better than the Nurse so they can push on selling chapter after chapter without repercussion despite the hate some killers get like Kaneki. Nobody can deny that Nurse is better than Kaneki. But what I don't get is when there is the Nurse, why would they nerf other killers like Chucky, Skull Merchant, etc? I just don't understand the logic other than Nurse requires more game time to understand her power than some of the easier killers? But then again, it still requires time to learn the game in general anyway.

Whatever the reason is, I don't think this whole business strategy is healthy in the long-term but who am I. I ain't no Mr. Cote or Remi Racine. I'm just some dude who play games lol

It's a damn shame. If it were me, I would dedicate a team to change them in a beneficial way.

"Why would anyone want to play Wraith when Dracula exists and he's better? Why play another Killer when Blight and Nurse exist?"

Because not everyone's goal is just to win, and winning easily all the time is super boring anyway. It's also super friggin' weird to be obsessed with winning as the only way you can enjoy the game. Plus, I don't necessarily like playing those stronger Killers. At all. Neither Blight nor Nurse are fun to me. I would rather lose and have fun than win and be miserable. Why would I or anyone else want to play a Killer I don't even like just to stomp easily on babies round after round after round? That's not a game, that's a curb stomp. I like my games to have SOME challenge, it's weird to me that some people don't. Do these people who only play four Slowdown Blight and full Aura Nurse think they are playing Hello Kitty Island by Daylight?

As for Dracula? I do play him. But I play him because I find him fun, not because he's "a better Killer" than Wraith who was my first Killer Main. I just happened to get bored of Wraith, so I don't play him anymore. Same with Legion - got bored of their power, have more fun as other Killers, do not play them anymore. Nobody actually plays a given Killer just because they're "better" than other Killers unless they are comp or something, they play that Killer because that Killer is fun and they do well as that Killer. I do very well as Dredge, Ghostface, Nemesis, Dracula, and weirdly enough Sadako. I also play some Pig and occasionally Pinhead because I find them fun to play as. None of these Killers are considered strong or "better" except for Dracula; most have been badly powercrept. But I find all of these Killers genuinely fun to play as, so that's who I play as - nothing at all to do with strength, because only comp weirdos play Killers based on how strong they are. That's why tierlists are ultimately useless to 95% of the Community and shouldn't be trusted as a source of info for anything, they don't reflect the reality of trial performance and nobody actually plays Killer that way.

That, and not everyone performs well as those other stronger Killers or can play those Killers well - I get motionsick with both. I HAVE to play others. My killrate is still a balanced 60% as the Killers I do play; odds are yours is too on literally everyone you play that is not Nurse or Blight. That's called consistency and it's what happens when you know how to play Killer in general, not just these ubertier super strong Killers that can sneeze and get a 4k with or without a super strong build.

Looks like 95% of everyone playing agrees with me on that, and only the 5% of sweaty tryhards want to dominate super hard as Nurse and Blight all the time. Thank God, can you imagine if everyone ONLY played those two Killers?

I think Nurse needs a full on power rework. She's difficult to master and get consistent with, but stomps everyone once you do master her. Not good character design AT ALL, needs a redo. Blight is fine, if strong - he's at least fair now after his collision glitches were fixed. It's okay for a Killer to be strong. It's NOT okay for a Killer to completely break the whole concept of the game; Blight still has to play around Loops. Nurse does not play around Loops, she plays "How fast can I ignore this Loop?"

You're missing the point. When did you ever see more killers than a Blight, a Nurse, Hillbilly or a spirit? I never see Chucky anymore. I never see Xenomorph anymore. I never see Trapper, Twins, Knight, Pig, Doctor, Artist, Trickster, etc… Where the Hell are they?

If everyone's goal is not to win then why is there a lack of killer variety?

I see a wide variety of Killers, friend. I'm sorry you've boosted your MMR to a level you do not, or that you're so good you only ever see the best of the best. 95% of players, the rest of us really, do not have this issue. At all.

Why is your only measure of what a win is a 3-4k or escaping through a gate?

Edit: The downvotes here just prove how lost and out of touch the community is with the reality of this game - the reality is, wins do not matter and never did. How terribly sad…

Well, I play Wraith. No interest in Dracula. I also play Myers and Chucky, no interest in Nurse or Blight. There is something in this game for everyone, not just those who want to 4k every single game. There's probably only two killers I don't see at all these days - Trickster and Twins - but I actually see alot of variety fortunately when I play survivor. The only exception is around new releases when I'll see the new killer for a few weeks until that settles too.

I'll also add that the recent stats released by the devs show that Wraith is the 4th most picked killer in mid-MMR. Huntress is the 1st, along with Blight, Wesker, and Legion. For high MMR, yes, Blight (1st) and Nurse (5th) were in there but so was Huntress, Wesker, and Freddy.

I mean… if BHVR released Killers/Survivors in a non broken state (OP Perks/Killer Powers and bugs) they would have time to go through the roster

Because the game keeps pushing survivors into being more capable of beating dashers and map mobility killers which is why every single new killer recently have all had some sort of dash\map mobility feature. It's a strong kind of power, so survivors are getting tools to help compete against it. Problem is, it entirely invalidates any killers without dashes or map mobility. Try being a no mobility m1 killer with the recent AoE sprint burst perk, or them having so many haste perks they can literally outrun the killer indefinitely. Dash\Map mobility is now "the" standard and king of killer design. Survivors will keep getting tools to help keep on top of that, but that means playing anything without a dash or map mobility is just a miserable experience.

    Anamtronic - map "teleport"

    Ghoul - dash

Doggo Lady - has the dash hound

Dracula - Dash (wolf) and pseudo teleport (bats window)

    Vecna - dash (flight)

    Chucky - Dash

    Alien - map "teleport"

    Singularity - teleport (via pods)

All in a row - some sort of map mobility, though doggo lady is a bit weird since her "dash" is via a pet effectively extending her range. Not a single one is at the mercy of bring forced to slowly catch up to survivors though loops. Granted, just having map mobility doesn't mean it's a good killer - I'm just pointing out that ALL recent killers in a row ALL have some way to put their pressure well beyond chasing someone around with a melee strike whether it be through teleporting around the map to apply pressure globally or being able to effectively cut chases short with dashes. Anyone without map mobility or dashes you'll end up seeing become extinct the higher the MMR it is, as the higher the mmr, the more experienced survivors are and start to understand how to effectively use the tools they have available to them. All new content keeps pushing the goal posts with survivors and mobile killers which just leaves the rest of the killer roster in the dust.

Sadly yes, my mains are unpopular, no longer bring in the cash, I’ve excepted they have essentially been abandoned, they are not popular enough to have the twitter brigade come to their defence to buff them.

It's largely what's wrong with the community. People care too much about winning. Everyone wants to win, but for some it simply isn't the be-all end-all like it is for others.

Frankly as long as I didn't 0k or I got enough BP I'm happy. I don't understand this absolute need to 4k or escape streak, why do people want the game to become super hard for themselves to the point they are locked into running the strongest things every time? That doesn't sound fun to me at all, that sounds miserable, I'd rather run the more mid or less good perks and Killers or less efficient but more fun unique builds and get middling results, than continuously stomp the competition until all I get are SWF deathsquads and Blight-Nurse-Kaneki-Wesker-Spirit on rotation 24/7/365.

I don't need to prove to anyone I am good enough at this game to win, because let's face it… winning in this game is not really that hard. I have won and lost enough to know exactly how good I am at this game and I just wish more people in this community felt the same way…

I mean, they are a business and their primary goal is making money off you.

This isn't a loving relationship, it is a predatory one designed to get you addicted and direct you to the store to spend more money and as much as possible.

Not hating on BHVR for this, it is just how businesses operate.

It does suck as a customer though because things that are not directly related to bringing in revenue and ensuring retention are always (edit) NOT going to be a priority.

I play them too but there isnt problem wanting to 4k very often, problem is what all you need to have equiped on wraith to have chance against solid and experienced survivors and what you need on better killer like dracula or spirit.
