Old dbd
BHVR needs to do something about this game, like a lot of people don't enjoy it anymore as much as they used to, back when the game had old graphics, old movement, old perks that didn't need a nerf or buff like that's when the game was really fun, they are adding a lot of unwanted changes to the game I really think they should bring back the old dbd because this game isn't as fun as it used to be.

As long as it is a version of it that has Old Freddy, then I would love it.
For my experience, nothing matters more than he does.

Old DBD sucked ass. Instablind flashlights, true infinite loops, survs being able to trap you in a game for hours…

I see you're still on here! This is Qrow, btw. Good to see you

Good to see you too, old friend! How are you?
And yes, I think I'll be here for quite some time! And always carrying the Old Freddy torch, of course!

"Old" DBD?
DBD is the oldest it's ever been!3 -
OG DBD was so janky, broken and almost unfair to both sides with some mechanics (mostly killers), and it was glorious.
I think we would get a rude shock if we all got dropped into old DBD now, can you imagine 4x survivors all with DH on demand as soon as they get inured? Loops you can see through like old Coldwind? 7 Blink Nurse anyone?
I do think that DBD is a far more refined and polished game now, though as always happens when things become more processed/refined, some of the soul is lost in the process and DBD is no different imo.
For me though, by far the biggest issue is a lot of the newer killers are killers I find extremely unfun to verse and I miss the simpler days of more basic powers and more loop (rather than anti-loop) focused game play

DBD is pretty close to the best state it's ever been in as far as I can tell. Nostalgia is powerful, but it's also not an accurate way of interpreting the past. Admittedly I've not been playing the game as long as many others, but even within the few years I've been playing the quality of the average game is better now than it was when I started. The progress hasn't been linear (the MFT meta, several bugged Killer launches, the whole Skull Merchant debacle) but in terms of overall health the game is in a really good spot now. And once some of the PTB changes come through it'll be even better.

Nah, honestly it needs a graphical update

It's just the atmosphere I miss. Watch an old DBD video on some of the original maps and it' looks so eerie. But there was a lot of broken stuff that might have been fun, but only for one side.

Old dbd would not have sustained for 10 years. Changes since then have been an effort to balance the game. I don't know about you, but I have more fun when the game feels balanced. I don't enjoy trampling my opposition and I don't enjoy getting completely stomped, I think most would agree with that.
Old dbd hinged on whether you had knowledge of the most busted tactics or not, and the fact that most players were new to the game. You would have zero player agency because the majority of the player base knows how to play the game and abuse the strongest builds.

They could have a limited time event called Legacy Mode or sumsuch.
It would be a stable patch from a rotating week in 2018-20 somewheres to showcase the game at that time, for us vets to enjoy or newbies to see what we had to go through.
