Great, hackers again
It's normally expected you'll be playing against cheats running reshade or discord in DBD but seems hackers are back in DBD, first time I've seen them melt through floors though.
Can anyone explain to me if we are using DBD servers how can they not detect people taking routes not used by 99% of others? That would be self learning and even BHVR wouldn't have to rely on reports.

Just report them

To be frank, people have found bugs over the years like the Autohaven map openings, that allow players to "escape the map" without hacks. These are normally patched out within a couple of weeks, but I've found a couple of them over the years, especially with Nurse. If they just added some code saying, "If player outside of bounds = treat them as a hacker," that means a lot of weird bugs we've seen would punish people who aren't hacking.

Not to mention that killer hackers tend to teleport to survivors, instadown, then teleport to a hook. So it really wouldn't be impossible for a hacker to teleport or otherwise move a "regular player" out of bounds, specifically to force this kind of system to ban people who have done nothing wrong.

Not sure what bugs have to do with a hacker, there is a big difference

I wasn't aware they've declared Discord as cheating when did that happen?
Reshade and filters in general are another beast entirely, but again aren't they whitelisted by the devs?
The servers they use sadly don't do "sanity checks" looking for impossiblilities like insane movement speeds and such.

I don't believe they've ever declared discord as cheating, OP probably just intended to mean outside applications that can give any advantage are considered "cheating" as the game isn't designed to be played that way.

If you encounter a cheater, please record your match, report in game and open a ticket here: https://support.deadbydaylight.com/hc/en-us/categories/6713776396180-Dead-by-Daylight
Thank you.
