- Huntress
- Plague
- Pig
- Freddy Krueger
- Leatherface
I can understand Trapper, and maybe Wraith, keeping the default music but Plague, Huntress, Pig, Freddy and Leatherface? After all these years and they still haven't given them their unique music.

Pig, Freddy and Bubba are probably because of licensing issues, but yeah the rest should probably get their own. Last one to get a unique chase was what Spirit? Nurse? and that was like 3 years ago now

Yeah, tbh it's pretty inexcusable at this point. Like what are the sound designers even doing between chapters. And half the time the best they can come up with is either a bunch of screeches or some drums that sound like a washing machine.
Wesker's chase music should be the gold standard. Ghoul's wasn't bad either.5 -
Defaults are the best, at least from Survivor POV. My only complaint is the chase music should sound the same for the Killer.
For example, when chasing as Freddy, I want to hear the same chase music as the survivors I'm chasing.
Default chase music is my favorite.

I'm all for a setting to listen to default music. I'm sure the license holders won't have a sway on that matter?

People have been asking for Pig to get custom chase music for a long time, and Shawnee Smith has said on more than one occasion she would love to do voice lines for Amanda. However, the license holders have not green lit either of them and nobody knows why.

We can have the license, the map and the actual character along with verbage but we can’t have some music 🤣

ehh some of them are hit and miss like hag's and nurse's are terrible and for me trickster and kaneki's are great but o don't really want to roll the dice

Huntress doesn't have default. She has her lullaby which is more than unique enough.

Creating unique chase music takes resources. The game has gotten so bloated with older content now that BHVR just doesn’t have the resources to maintain or update most of it. With every new chapter, there is more and more past content to update and more and more bugs to fix but BHVR isn’t adding more people to keep up. I fear that the game is getting too big for its own good.

I think that would be awesome and I am sure everyone would love it. While new content is worth investing in I believe old content is worth investing in as well.

To be fair, isn't all the music in DBD made by just one person? So, I would think they're probably a bit busy making all the music for the next chapter and also any unique future title / menu / cosmetic themes too.
Like this absolute banger of a main menu theme that we'll likely never get to hear in game again. I wasn't even playing back then and would have missed out hearing this if not for YouTube :(
But yeah, some unique chase themes for older Killers would be nice. Trapper should keep the default though.

Nah. Sorry to say, but I happen to be familiar with the composing and sound designing process, and I can tell you for a fact it does not take three months to craft a 1:17 loop, especially with the tools and tech we have today. Even factoring in polish, revisions, and implementation, that kind of turnaround doesn’t hold up, not when there’s a whole sound team involved.
Yes, there’s technically one Lead Composer on DbD, but there's also six other sound designers backing him up. Unless this guy's completely swamped with other unrelated projects, the output doesn’t match the amount of time between chapters, especially when patches like the last one add no new in-game music beyond the opening trailer.
Wish I could let a fellow musician off the hook, but in the case of the OG killers chase music it's really hard to justify.Post edited by Flawless_ on0 -
Freddy can't even get a single cosmetic. I doubt he will get chase music.

Freddy Leatherface and Pig should definitely get some of their iconic music from the movies incorporated into their chase music, such a missed opportunity imo
