Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Do we consider her power as “Slow Down?”

Also is Thana actually worth using with her?

Personally? No. We Rulebreakers consider it a unique.

As for thano that's up to you buuuut it does create a damn if you do damned if you don't scenario that we like so we consider it a yes.

you can't tell if gens are slow because of Thana or if the survivors just aren't doing gens. I don't like it.

id rather spend my opportunity cost on something mote tangible for me like Mindbreaker or Tinkerer

    Rock & Hard Place build:

Dying Light, Thanatophobia, & either Surge + Pop Goes the Weasel, or SH: Jagged Compass + SH: Gift of Pain (depending on if the survivors you're up against like to cleanse or not).

    How build works:

Infect everyone asap, get at least 4 tokens of DL ideally around the time there are 3 gens left, At which point if they haven't cleansed, the amount of gen slowdown from thana + DL will be around 32% and gens progress will be at a crawl. Each chunk of damage done by PgtW, and Surge will take much longer to recover for survivors, slowing gens down even more. Important: DO NOT leave the Obsession alone except in the early - mid game, as they are the only one unaffected by DL's slowdown, so hook them 2x, but do not kill them until you have killed 1 or 2 of the others first, simply slug them to keep em off the gens.

the metaphorical "Rock & Hard Place" this build puts survivors in: Either Stay sick and suffer progressively slower generator repair speeds, or Cleanse and give Plague her Corrupt purge, which is arguably the best ranged attack in the game.

If you find yourself regularly going up against teams that follow the "Big Survivor" propaganda/strategy of "Don't Cleanse against plague", stick with Surge + Pop. If going up against teams that cleanse at the drop of a hat go with SH:JC + SH: GoP so that no matter if they are injured or healthy, they're always getting slowed down. Add-ons are up to you, I generally go with ones that Enhance Corrupt Purge's lethality so I can better punish survivors with it if they give in and start cleansing.

The only thing about dying light and thana together is once survivors know this they will gen rush you asap because they know if they don’t they’re screwed.

I like this build though. Also for whatever reason I really love brutal on her?

Survivors kinda do that against Plague anyway. The biggest time sinks for survivors OTHER than gens is healing, and no one is doing that against Plague.

That's true. That should have been an obvious point to me and for whatever reason was not LOL.

Hmmm - I will think on this.

Plague is one of the few killers that can still use Thana, since unless you have all 4 survivors injured at all times the perk does basically nothing.

Is it worth it tho? Meh.

Corrupt, Thanatophobia, Hex: Plaything, Hex: Pentimento is a pretty nasty Plague build, less so since the Penti nerf, but it's still quite rough.

    • You don't wanna stay injured without a terror radius and with a Thana slowdown on the gens.
    • You don't wanna cleanse Plaything due to time taken and Penti slowdown on top, especially if it's infected due to Penti+Thana.
    • You don't want to give Plague her Corrupt Purge either cause she can easily keep people injured/down with it, and also defend her Penti totems.

If I see a Plague run this, I have to hope she doesn't know to turn 45° as she turns corners, cause otherwise, it's REALLY hard punch through, even in a SWF... 😱

I’ll try this build too!! Thank you!! 🙏🏼

I really enjoy plague! My goal is to keep survivors busy since they won’t be busy healing.

Plague is solid killer buts for high mmr survivors she is weak without addons, if you dont relay on addons than tana is good way to get some corupt pools faster than normal but smarter survivors will be more rushing gens and wont give corupt that much, so you are just super tall m1 with oneshot.

her power isn't really a slowdown since being injured isn't really that big of a debuff but thana at least for me gets survivors to take being injured more seriously
