Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Hot Take: Ghoul's not OP, just annoying

I'm biased because I'm a killer main, but I spend almost as much time as survivors (about 60% killer, 40% survivor). I don't own the ghoul, and I don't want to buy him, but please don't just nerf him. He's annoying because of that free health state. Unlike legion who has to actually get to you and stab you, the free health state on Ghoul is an auto aim attack doesn't feel like it has a lot of counterplay.

Edit: Just to be clear, I also hate every game I've had against him. I just don't think it's purely him being strong that makes me feel that way.

I don't expect this solution to be implemented, but here's an example of something better for the free health state:

After your first swing, you may left click to perform a Tendril strike. This is pretty much identical to Xenomorphs tail attack, but it only deals out deep wound. This will obviously be how you gain enraged instead of the current method.

Is this perfect? No. Realistic for behaviour to add? No. Is it better than what's in the game right now? I don't know. Ideas sound way better in your hand than out loud, and that's why I am saying them.

I agree, he is definitely overrated just like Chucky was. He is very good at getting injures and travelling around the map but not much else. His performance entirely depends on how dense with pallets the map is, since if he gets a map with a lot of loops like Ormond Resort, he won't do much since he can't really anti loop. That's why WOO is such a hard counter to him, since as long as you always know the closest loop to you, he will pretty much never cut you off and down you, which is the only way he can use his power to down you.

Some players want weak opponenst (m1 killers) or just nurse, blight maybe billy and then wraths, trappers, legions, wraiths and all weak m1.

Look at blight as exemple he is mechanicly hard ok, but still he can brute force you like nothing more than current ghoul, he is always behind you and some loops you cant use longer walls like against m1 killers or he will catch you with rushes. Idk what many players liked about playing agaist his hug tech, he could use it almost on every loop and it wasnt that hard( easier than pin pong play and flicks), all it was about will he fail to do it correctly and miss you, like nurse blink but with more restrictions( will she hit it or not).
