Playing killer on controller/console is awful
Why they haven't improved controls on controller yet is unfathomable to me. Blight or Pinhead for example is so hard to play on it. Good survivors will steamroll you. The only killers that I think is controller-proof are the ghoul, trapper, wraith and legion.
They seriously need to help players using controllers for accessibility reasons.

Yeah, glad I play on PC. I have it on Xbox too and enjoy it, but killers can be challenging on controller.

Fortunately we'll be getting kb/m support on console soon. It's annoying as hell missing a swing because the survivor is manuvering around me faster than I can turn during a swing...

Personally, I would rather be able to use a controller than HAVE to switch to MnK in order to play killer optimally.

Can always crank up your sensitivity if you're dead set on controller. I'm just ready for the switch because it's easier to control. With controller, your aim is done with your thumb alone while with mouse, you can use your whole arm if need be. This isn't specifically a DBD thing.

let's not defile more games but handcuffing design towards an awful input

I have fond memories of that brief period after the first animation change when survivors couldn't spin and I was no longer getting directly screwed over for having a console and playing on controller. Then survivors cried to the devs and they brought back spinning. So now at least twice a match I get screwed by autoaim and whiffs caused by poor joystick deadzones and sensitivity

BHVR could at least add Dead Zone and Response Curve settings for controller, though. We've been asking for more settings for years.

I just hope that they don't use the introduction of m/k on consoles as an excuse to forget about controller players. I for one don't want to be sat at a desk playing on a console staring at a tiny monitor.

they don't even have the basic settings to make a controller at least some what decent. every good game that is decently optimized for a game has the basic adjustment of X axis and Y axis. this game all your sensitivity on a controller are squashed together into one sensitivity like why? and this game has an auto aim feature even on mouse when you lunge attack it auto tracks to the survivor. it doesn't work half the time and I am surprised nobody noticed it.

I thought PC Master Race was supposed to be a joke. Also, ######### people who use controllers for accessibility reasons, amirite?

This isn't pc master race, this is keyboard master race. An opinion that is objectively correct. Otherwise this thread wouldn't exist. You can use keyboard on modern consoles now, there's no reason at all for game devs to handicap all game design due to how awful of an input roller is

There's also no reason they can't add in basic settings for response curve and dead zones in the sticks, as most games already do. The controller should be kept in mind when designing killer powers. It shouldn't matter as much as it does with DBD which input device you prefer.

Yeah, it's not just that controller is inferior to controller, it's that controller in DbD is inferior to controller for other games, and there's no good reason for that. It's just laziness at this point.
And beyond that, there are a lot of players who have never played games on M&K, and would have zero feel for it. So M&K shouldn't be their only option for a decent killer experience.

least weird pc master race enjoyer
let people have settings for controller, it isn't a personal attack lol
