Solo Survivor matchmaking is awful

I haven't played in over a year because I was sick and tired of being matched with awful survivors that can't loop for more than two seconds. Decided to install again today and give it a try.

3 games in a row i've been vs an "ok" killer and survivors that instantly went down and killed themselves on first hook.

    One of the main reasons I dropped the game. You're constantly matched with teammates that are relatively less skilled by a huge margin, and they also impact the trial way too much. It seems to be a deliberate design choice to give killers low-hanging fruit in every trial. That removes nearly all agency from a more skilled survivor and renders your personal performance meaningless.

    There's no reward or feedback loop for being a skilled solo survivor. You can have 5k+ hours and still get matched with players who haven't heard of pallets or generators.
