Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Anyone else having audio issues with the game?

I've swapped the audio mixing in the in game settings from headphones to normal, then back to headphones again, but directional sounds seem.. off to me? I'm wondering if it's my headphones starting to kick the bucket, or if the audio is bugged in game. I don't have a separate pair to test this out, so let me know what you guys deal with :) To me the audio sounds kinda muffled, I get confused where generators are as they will sound like they're on different floors or in different directions than they actually are

If you disable the headphone option, the first few matches feel a bad awkward but it is much better to turn them off, because the audio will be more direction.

Do you have max FOV as a killer? Here is a video that explains what happens with audio sounds when you have max FOV https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Qo3RJti2Cdc

Otherwise, sounds in dbd are really bad sometimes and sometimes the devs can fix it and then it gets bugged next patch: Sounds can have a slightly delay, which means you hear something that is no longer there. It often helps, when you restart the game. Sometimes a generator sounds like someone is working on it when no one is there. If the game has to play many sounds at the same time (like to happen on the Ormond maps), the game just doesn't play one of them, which is often either the survivor breathing/grunts of pain, or footsteps.
