Someone explain why this audio notification is given with GhostFace?
Is this further free survivor main handholding?
The survivor is being marked at the top of the stairs with Ghostface right behind them not being looked at in any way and yet around the 90% mark the survivor gets a free audio cue of danger… why?
*not talking about the marked noise, the high pitched one before that

That noise has been a thing for a while. It normally happens when you stand still while undetectable for like 10 seconds and then move. I dont know if its supposed to be some insidious scare thing or a audio warning since theres no footsteps or something. I dont think they've ever explained it. If they have im all ears to know why its a thing too. But its not exclusive to ghostface.

It's a killer jumpscare noise. It has nothing to do with Ghostface in general. If the Ghostface didn't move there it wouldn't of played.

As others have said, this has been in the game for years and occurs when a killer begins to move after standing still for an extended period. It has nothing to do with Ghostface and is entirely in the control of the killer, no survivor hand holding.

Complaining about fairness, it simply shouldn't be a thing from what I have been reading so far.
It isn't about getting a down in this single instance, it's the fact that it is unfair as shown in this instance.
The survivor actually started walking away for no other reason than that audio warning.-3 -
Was stalking all the way and around 90% slowly moved towards them whilst still stalking… seems really unfair, especially on such a weak killer like Ghostface

Strange the person below you gets 3 votes for aggressively trying to defend the survivor side with a single result despite it and then you who posted the logical answer and had no vote.
Was stalking all the way and at 90% started to walk towards them to get hit (still stalking)… this really shouldn't be happening on poor ghostface killers.
